Fuego Wins Shooter's Summer League
Fuego completed its' inaugural season by winning the 2008 Shooter's Summer League Championships. The team, which is comprised of current and former college-level players and coaches with affiliation with the Tampa Bay Fire, has begun preparing for the Fall season Shooter's league. Fuego - Tampa Bay's Elite Adult Men's Team
Fuego is an adult men's team competing in Open Divisions of various summer and fall leagues and tournaments. The team was created to provide an organized opportunity for college-level lacrosse players interested in competing in the off-season.
The team has been formed by the coaches and administrators of the Tampa Bay Fire and intends to provide competitive playing opportunities for Fire alumni; "friends" of the Fire such as coaches, parents, and fans; and any other area lacrosse players with college-level skills interested in supporting the growth and development of Florida lacrosse.
An Annual Membership Fee is charged each player to cover the costs of uniform jerseys, and other operating expenses. Players must also pay any respective competitive league fee. The team offers coaching and administrative support to the players, but the overall objective is to let the players play and encourage them to use their team-based skills and knowledge to play the Fire's brand of up-tempo lacrosse.
