The Ironwood High School Sports Medicine Program is a multifaceted collection of allied health care professionals working together to provide the best possible health care to the student-athletes at Ironwood High School. A major emphasis of the sports medicine program is on the prevention, evaluation procedures, diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation and student-athlete education and awareness on injuries and medical conditions.

Under the direction of Head Team Physician Dr. Brian Gruber and Head Athletic Trainer Michael Suman, the Ironwood High School Sports Medicine Program provides services to 23 athletic teams and over 600 student-athletes.

Ironwood employs two certified athletic trainers that work closely with all coaches, athletes, adminstration, and parents. Ironwood Sports Medicine is also an approved clinic site for Grand Canyon University Athletic Training Education Program students.
