2008 15U Rangers Many Thanks to our Players,
Coaches,
and Families! You will always be #1!
A message from Ranger Baseball President George Little
"The Ranger organization was founded in 1991 to help young baseball players in our community to pursue their love of the game. The Ranger managers and coaches are the most qualified people available in our area, many of them are High School baseball managers and coaches. They train and develop prospects who are dedicated to improving their baseball skills and striving to be the best in a highly competitive environment. Presently, the Rangers field 8 teams that represent MD and Southern PA and compete throughout the Central Maryland area...and out of state in post-season play. Our program continues to grow. There is 1 College Team (age 18 and over), 1 Fall Showcase Team (HS Jr. and Sr.), 2 Senior Teams (age 17-18), 2 Junior Teams (age 16 and age 15), 2 Sophomore Teams (age 14 and age 13), and 1 Freshman Team (age 11-12). Each Ranger team plays about 30-40 regular season league games each summer. Frequently, our teams qualify for various state, regional, and national post-season tournaments. The Rangers are proud of their .760 winning percentage during the last 14 years. We also field teams in all age brackets for fall baseball in various leagues. In the fall, we also hold our annual Ranger banquet to recognize the accomplishments of our teams and players...and name the Amateur Baseball Player of the Year. In the winter, we provide two highly regarded baseball clinics with one-on-one instruction and supervised indoor workouts for players to prepare for the coming season. In January, Ranger coaches attend a coaches' clinic hosted by top college and professional coaches from around the country. To play Ranger baseball, the player and his family need dedication, discipline, desire, and commitment to the program to assure success for the individual, the team, and the organization. All players who reside in MD and Southern PA are eligible to participate in the program. Clinics, workouts and tryouts and other current events, with dates, times and locations, for all teams are advertised in the community sports section of the Sports Page in the Sunday Carroll County Times. The Rangers offer a great opportunity to participate in an outstanding baseball organization with other players and families who make baseball their summertime priority. The Rangers raise operating funds through corporate and small business sponsors featured in our ad book program. Thank you for your interest. We are looking forward to a great summer in 2008 and continuing to build on the winning tradition of Ranger baseball ...you should plan to be a part of it!!!!"
The 15U Rangers play in the
Baltimore - Metro Baseball League.
Baltimore - Metro Baseball is the "Premier"
independent amateur baseball league
in Maryland.
Formed in 1977, this league
has grown to be one of the
most successful baseball programs
in the United States.
Since 1977 BMB has had 50 World Series Champions
and fifteen (15) players play Major League Baseball.
We are pleased that countless numbers
of BMB players have been awarded
college scholarships
and made their varsity baseball teams
at the Freshman and Sophomore level
due to the excellent coaching and
high level of competition
they faced as younger players.
Our coaches are dedicated
and committed to helping these fine athletes
achieve success!
