2017/2018 Season Information for the Alpharetta Jr. Lady Raiders 

Tryouts for the 2017/2018 Alpharetta Jr. Lady Raiders are scheduled to be held at the Alpharetta High School main gym on September 10th  AND September 17th from 2-4 pm. There will be a mandatory parents meeting scheduled on the last tryout date. In addition, there will be a pre-season workout on September 24th at the Alpharetta High School main gym from 2-4 pm. Please remember that our programs are open to ALL 4th - 8th grade girls that are zoned for the Alpharetta High School district.

Program Overview

The Alpharetta Lady Raiders basketball program includes both the Alpharetta High School Lady Raiders and the Alpharetta Jr. Lady Raiders. We field a Varsity and Junior Varsity at the high school level. We also field three middle school teams (6th grade, 7th grade and 8th grade). The JV and Varsity teams compete the in GHSA Region 6-AAAAAA. The Junior Lady Raiders are members of the Cobb County Junior Basketball Conference.   The program  emphasizes the importance of academics and preparing the girls to compete at the college and high school level.

Our mission is to assist girls to develop the knowledge, skills, and love of the game of basketball.  Our emphasis is to teach, and to provide a consistent and conscientious program.  We emphasize the values of sportsmanship, teamwork, fair play and community services. Our goal is to provide all female basketball players, the opportunity to strive for achievement and excellence and have fun while learning the game of basketball.
