Concord Cannons Travel Baseball Program / College Prospect Teams
The purpose of the Concord Cannons travel baseball program is to develop younger athletes into a complete baseball players. We utilize our staff of professional instructors to teach players how to train for and play at a highly-competitive level of baseball. Our program will not only focus on baseball instruction and training of our young athletes, but also stress the importance of achieving academic excellence in the classroom.
Our coaching staff is what separates us from other travel teams. Our coaches have played and coached at all levels of the game, with some playing in professional organizations. The instruction they will provide from their playing experience cannot be matched by other travel programs. Our coaching staff will share their personal experiences growing up and playing baseball, and the importance of their dedication and hard work to achieving success on the field. Also, personal experiences will be shared regarding the importance of academics in having the opportunity to play at the collegiate level.
The Cannons program will begin in November with a baseball specific strength and conditioning program to increase players’ overall strength, fitness and injury prevention. In December Matt Tupman, former Kansas City Royals Catcher, will be designing and instructing specialty clinics available only for Concord Cannons players.
Team workouts will begin in January. For several months of practice sessions, teams at each age group will practice together and receive instruction and training from our experienced staff. Our primary goal in selecting teams at each age level will be to have equally strong teams in order to compete on the field, as well as provide an opportunity to develop each individual player.
Our teams will have an opportunity to utilize Concord Sports Center’s indoor turf field, batting cages and gym area. Players will have an opportunity to play scrimmage games, as well as compete in indoor leagues. We will have played several games before starting our outdoor travel season.
If selected to participate in our travel program, you will be provided with excellent training and instruction. Your obligation will be to work diligently to become a complete baseball player.
New England Elite Baseball League
All Cannons teams participate in the top travel baseball league in New England; The New England Elite Baseball League. This new and exciting league is comprised of the most talented teams in New England. The mission is to create a competitive league with a strong focus on structure and organization. All teams will have a team page on the EBL website so they can promote their program, post team rosters, and update game scores and stats. All programs will benefit from this league because it eliminates constant changes, cancelations, and the hassle of finding games on short notice. Each team will attend 1-2 travel tournaments. The 10U-12U Divisions will begin at the end March through Mid June. 13U, 14U teams will play April - Mid July. 15U, 16U and 17U June - August.
10U-12U teams will be completed prior to Little League/ Cal Ripken All Stars - However the Cannons program must be the priority over town baseball during the Spring season.

Concord Cannons College Prospect Teams
(16U and 18U teams offered in 2015)
The Concord Cannons Travel Baseball Program is entering its 9th season in 2015. The program has established itself over that time as the premier travel program in New Hampshire and as one of the top programs in New England. With numerous Regional and National Championship including the 2011 13U AAU New England Champions, the 2012 11U Elite Baseball League Champions and the 2012 Baseball Heaven 11U East Coast National Championship. 2014 16U War at the Shore Prospect Tournament.
The purpose of the Cannons Prospect Teams is to gain college exposure for players that have the potential and desire to play at the collegiate level. The team will participate in the Elite Baseball League Division 1 which is considered one of the top wooden bat summer leagues in New England. These games will take place Monday – Friday to prepare the team for the showcase tournaments that are typically held on the weekends. The benefits of showcase teams are the ability to travel to the top travel tournaments on the East Coast with your team and to have direct contact with collegiate coaches. This gives the college coaches the opportunity to evaluate each player and to also interact with the Cannons coaching staff about potential players for their collegiate program. This also allows coaches to see each player in a game setting which will allow them to evaluate players against the top competition in the country.
Following the tryouts in August each family will speak with the coaching staff to set up a personalized plan for the college selection process. Items will include NCAA clearing house requirements, schools that interest each player and a workout regimen for the upcoming season. Each player will then have a baseball skills video made up by the coaching staff. That can be viewed along with a personal profile on www.concordcannons.com
