Club Penguin is a massive on-line game where people are penguins, you can move around with the mouse and you can use chat bubbles to talk with other penguins, when you start you have 2 options, safe chat and standard chat, safe chat only allows you to select words from a list, standard chat allows you to say anything, after it passes through a filter, due to the lack of strength the filter possesses, you are able to report players for various reasons. Chat however is not the only aspect of the game, as you waddle around to the different rooms you can meet other penguins and “add” them to your buddies list if they accept, if you are buddies with a penguin you can see if they are on-line or not, and visit there igloo with-out an invitation card, you can send post-cards of all sorts to other penguins, some allow other penguins to go to your igloo, others just say “Hello”. You can put players on your ignore list, if you report them they are automatically added, this is useful if they are being annoying but haven’t broke any rules, example: “Please be my buddy! Please be my buddy! Please be my buddy!” etc. In Club Penguin you get an igloo, it is small to start, but if you pay for “membership” you can customise it with furniture and carpet or igloo enlargements you can buy with coins via a catalog icon in your igloo. If you are a “member” you can add your igloo to the “map”, the map has several icons witch point to the rooms, there are 3 hidden rooms witch do not show a tool-tip example “The Town” when you put your mouse over them on the map, you mouse still becomes a pointer so you can spot them! These are the dojo, the iceberg and the mine shack, club penguin consists of about 20 rooms, 2 of witch you cannot get to by moving around, only the by the map. To earn coins you have to go to various rooms that you can play games in, when you finish a game you get coins, single player score / 10, and in multi-player it depends on how well you did. Club Penguin even has its own newspaper! It tells about the next parties, in witch free items are given out to members and non-members alike, these parties can last from a month to a day, example the Christmas party was a month long but the anniversaries are only a day long. Members can buy items at the gift shop for there penguin, they can buy clothing, there country’s flag, colors and player card backgrounds, non-members cannot buy clothes or flags but they can buy backgrounds and colors. When you log in you have to pick a server, all servers seem the same, but penguins can only be on one server, so you can pick servers that have your buddies on them. Fame: Many penguins are “famous”, usually this is either rockhopper or penguins that host websites like I do, or possibly beta testers, witch have the rare beta hat item from 2005 witch all penguins envoy. Instead of chating you can emote icons such as pizza or emotions. You can dance, wave and sit, some items change the way you dance or wave, if you are wearing a guitar when you try to dance instead you play it(no sound). Rockhopper as mentioned ealier is a very famous penguin who is allways featured in the newspaper, he is actualy a staff member, you cannot add or report him, instead when you try to add him he gives you a signed photo(I have one :P) to use as a player card background. Pins are items you can put on your player card that are hidden by the club penguin staff every couple of weeks.

To do this, you MUST go onto a safe chat server. After that, go to the latest pin. When the screen pops up that asks you if you want to keep the pin, don’t press anything! Now you press the tab key a bunch of times till the yellow box is around the igloo button on the chat bar. Then press enter. Now there should be a giant pin in your igloo! The giant pin will be in every room until you log off.

You may think that Cart Surfer is the best way for getting coins, but it’s actually not! Puffle Roundup works best! Cart Surfer is second best! When you play Cart Surfer for 5 minutes, you would get about 750 coins. And when you play Puffle Round up for 5 minutes, you would get around 1,000 coins! And if you are not very good at Puffle Roundup, practice!
