We are Gateway Hockey - A Great Tradition Celebrating over 50 Years!

Established in 1972, Gateway Hockey has a proud tradition of promoting athletic and academic excellence. The club provides Gateway School District students in ages 5 thru grade 12 with the opportunity to play ice hockey, and has enjoyed tremendous success building the character, skills, and winning attitude of its players. Without question, the Club's goal and expectation is to win at every level of play, whether Developmental, Middle School, or High School, but the true strength of this program is that winning is judged as much by the quality of young men and women we create as the score on the scoreboard.

Gateway Hockey Beginnings

For the Love of the Game!

By Del Kubeldis and Don Schuetz

Forty years ago this past spring, a group of young men at Gateway High School got together and formed the school’s first varsity ice hockey club. Read the entire original article by clicking the Gateway Hockey Beginnings link above. The team was recognized for this accomplishment by being inducted into the Gateway Hockey Alumni Honor Roll as part of the Alumni Winter Event held at Center Ice Arena in Delmont. They were the first team to be inducted into the Honor Roll.

Please join us each December at the Gateway Hockey Winter Alumni annual event on the day after Christmas!
