*** Lets get ready to go to work... August 6, will be the first day of practice and all players will work together as a team. (wolf-pack!!)
To all future wolves and wolves' parents: The board and I are excited that POP WARNER has finally come to the CSRA and even more excited to have a Greenbrier district. Thanks to the parents who have signed up and those parents continuing to register. Don't forget to tell your friends about the football and cheerleading opportunities that pop warner has to offer. I'm happy to say that our wolves will be playing in the wolves den of our big brothers house at the high school stadium. I look forward to meeting and getting to know each one of you. If you have ANY questions about the Greenbrier district, Pop Warner, or registration, please do not hesitate to call me.
A major advantage of Pop Warner football and cheerleading is that the teams are set by district. Your child will only have children on his or her team that he or she goes to school with or children that will attend your child's middle or high school in the future. This allows the same children to play together throughout their sports careers which creates strong teamwork and skills.
Football Age & Weight Structure:
There are seven Divisions of play, all determined by a strict age/weight scale to ensure safe and balanced competition.

ABOUT POP WARNER:
Pop Warner Little Scholars, Inc. (PWLS) is a non-profit organization that provides youth football and cheer & dance
programs for participants in 42 states and several countries around the world. Consisting of approximately 425,000 young people ranging from ages 5 to 16 years old, Pop Warner is the largest youth football, cheer and dance program in the world.
Pop Warner was founded in 1929, and it continues to grow and serves as the only youth football, cheerleading & dance organization that requires its participants to maintain academic standards in order to
participate. Pop Warner's commitment to academics is what separates the program from other youth sports around the world as it is the only national youth sports organization that requires scholastic aptitude to participate, Pop Warner is committed to developing America's young people on the field and off. Each year Pop Warner continues to expand its efforts in team and activity participation, as well as visibility and outreach in the community.
Since 1929, the Pop Warner Programs Philosophy has been that athletics and scholastics go hand in hand. At every level, Pop Warner programs seek to develop well-rounded young men and women who learn not only the fundamentals of football, cheerleading, and dance but also the importance of education in an atmosphere conducive to developing sound
character while having a good time.
