This week we had two rainouts (Thursday and Friday). The league is looking at ways to ensure all teams get all games played by the pre determined Playoff start date of July 10th. There are a couple of different scenarios that will be decided on soon. Until that decision is made, the Macs will keep their eyes on a DH this Sunday vs. Huntingdon Valley starting at 2p. PLAYERS: Be there by 1p.
Hard fought and well deserved win on Tuesday night v. Roslyn
June 26, 2013
A tremendous effort by Ryan Kelly (7IP 11K) on the mound helped lead the Macs to a game #3 2-1 win and a series win v. Roslyn on Tuesday night. On the offensive side once again a different player stepped up in his opportunity to knock in a run. Matt Redican singled in the first run for Horsham, and a couple innings later Grant Opalisky knocked in the eventual game winner with an RBI double. Kelly forged ahead toward victory despite a slight let down in his defense (2errors) in the 7th inning as the Macs took the season series 2 games to 1. They will use the momentum to take on Cedarbrook at Jenkintown HS on Thursday starting at 6p.
Good Sunday Macs!
June 23, 2013 – 11:30 PM
Macs win game 1 v. Warminster 8-0 (13 LOB) which means they continually put the ball safely into play and had very patient and effective at bats, something that will always keep you in ball games. On the mound they were lead by Eric Lane (5ip 0R) and Brad Humski (1ip 0R) in game one. The offense supported them with 8 runs (7RBI 10H 4 BB).
The momentum pushed forward into game 2 with Humski toeing the rubber for his 2-6 innings pitched (1H 0R) of the day followed by the offense picking right up where they left off with 2 extra base hits, 2 SAC, a walk, and 2 RBI in the first inning staking Humski with a 2 run lead all he and reliever John Hlywiak (2ip 0H 0R) would need, but the offense capped off their 3rd multi run inning of the day in the 6th with 1H, 3BB, and a HBP to give Hyls a 4 run cushion which is how it ended 4-0.
Multiple hits/times on base:
Rosenbaum-5, Arcadia-2, Lane-4, Simmons-3, Opalisky-3, Thomas-4, Kleidon-5, Fisher-3, Humski-2
Special SO to Eric Thomas' 14 innings caught today! (Ice n rest)
