WELCOME 2013 HUNTLEY MUSTANG CHEERLEADERS!!! 

 HCA is the Home of the 2011 1st Grade & 2012 2nd Grade Division State Champions!!  

Our Cheer Season begins the week of July 8th,2013 and will go through November (competition squads if qualifies for state will go to the first weekend of December). k-8TH grade Practices for Rec Squads will be on Tuesday & Wednesday evenings for out door practices. K-8th grade Competition Squads will practice on Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday evenings for all outdoor practices. These practices will be held at Marlowe Middle School from 6-8pm until we go indoor. We Cheer Rain, or Shine and sometimes even in the Snow! HCA attends parades, HYF Walkathon and goes to Special Events such as

Game of the Week & Superbowl! 

 

 HCA SPARKLE SQUAD! We are SUPER EXCITED to announce HCA Sparkle Squad starting the 2013 Cheer Season. The Sparkle Squad is a unique cheer squad for special needs boys and girls. The squad will be open for ALL Children with special needs from ages 5-18. The team will practice 1 day a week for one hour per practice -Location and date/time is TBD. The Sparkle Squad will cheer at one game per weekend (Saturday or Sunday) Parent supervision is mandatory. One parent has to be at the practice with their child. There will also be Jr Coaches (our HHS Cheerleaders) running the squad as well as an Adult Coach/Team Mom. This is a great opportunity for your son or daughter to be involved with a fun activity and to meet other children. For more information you can contact Lesli at lesli@huntleycheer.org

 HCA will not be hosting any additional registrations for the 2013 Cheer Season -HOWEVER there are still some spots available on our K-6th grade competition teams, k-8th grade REC teams,  our 7th & 8 grade competition team is closed. If you are interested in learning more please email Nicole at nicole@huntleycheer.org. 

 

Mommies Day Out fundrasier for Squad 1- After getting your uniform size have your child stay and hang with the older team. They will be doing crafts, playing games, singing, dancing and maybe learning a few sideline cheers. $15.00 per child, if you are interested please contact Nicole at nicole@huntleycheer.org by Friday May 10th.

HCA DAY/NIGHT AT LOU MALNATI'S ON THURSDAY MAY 16TH.  NO NEED TO COOK, JUST EITHER DINE IN, DO CARRY OUT OR EVEN HAVE IT DELIVERED TO YOUR HOME.  ALL YOU NEED IS THE FLYER UNDER HANDOUTS WHEN YOU PLACE YOUR ORDER AND LOU'S WILL DONATE BACK 20% OF ALL SALES BACK TO HCA.  WHAT A EASY AND GREAT WAY TO SUPPORT YOUR HUNTLEY CHEERLEADERS!

Uniform Sizing will be on Saturday May 11th, 2013 in the Gym at the Huntley Park District Rec Center from 9am-12pm.  Squad 1 at 8:45am, Squad 5 at 9:15am, Squad 4 at 9:35am, Squad 6 at 9:50am Squad 7 at 10:00am, Squad 8 at 10:10am, Squad 9 at 10:20am, Squad 3 at 10:30am Squad 2 at 10:50am, & Squad 10 at 11:15am. Our varsity rep will be there sizing all the cheerleaders, all team assignments will be completed so this will be a great way to meet your teammates.  Save the date! All Cheerleaders must attend. 

HCA is so EXCITED to announce that IRCA will be hosting a 3 day 2 night Spirit Camp Friday June 7th - Sunday June 9th 2013 at Grand Bear Resort in Utica Illinois. This camp is optional for all those cheerleaders that have signed up for competition cheerleaders that are entering 7th, 8th and high school this coming fall.   IRCA will be having a dinner banquet Saturday evening for all the teams with a dj to make it more fun.  During time down from camp we will have access to the waterpark which is included in the fee to attend camp.  There will be a parent presentation on the last day of camp.  Transportation will be based on volunteers parents and coaches.  HCA is so EXCITED to be sending our cheerleaders,

THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO SUBMITTED AN APPLCATION TO BE A TEAM MOM AND ADULT COACH.  We are still looking for team moms/adult coaches for the following age groups: k-1 REC, 3rd grade REC,  4th grade REC, & 5th/6th grade REC. IF you are interested in helping out please fill out the application that you will find under "handouts" and email that back to holly@huntleycheer.org.

HHS Cheer Summer Camp is Scheduled for the week of July 22nd-July 25th from 5:30pm-8:00pm at Huntley High School in the East Gym.  Camp is a Requirement for ALL Competition Squad Cheerleaders but EVERYONE is WELCOMED TO JOIN IN THE FUN.  The fee for camp this is year is $55.00 and you can ONLY Register On-line.  If you go over to our "links" menu it will take directly there where you can create an account and sign up for camp, its as simple as that! 

 

 

HCA General Open Board meetings are held every other month for the 2013 Cheer Season.  HCA members are welcomed to come out to the following Open Meetings: February 11th, April 11th, June 13th, August 8th and September 12th. October and December dates are tbd. All meetings are held at Kosta's from 6:30-8:00pm.  Hope to see you there.
