As you may have noticed we have added a new song to our webpage. This is yet another local band from our area making waves. As a team we like to get support from our local community and we also like to give support. Our area has some of the best local music and we will do our part to help expose the talent. This band goes by the name Rest Among Ruins and we are hoping to have them at some of our events in the near future , until then check them out at our links page and here is a little background. With an intense sound that punishes unmercifully, yet rewards with captivating harmony, the quintet known as Rest Among Ruins offers a rich, encompassing style to the Baltimore music scene. Formed in 2006, Rest Among Ruins advanced from an idea to a body of musicians, comprised of vocalist/songwriter, Mike Semesky; guitarist/backup vocalist, Derrin Ruschell; lead guitarist, Henry Kaldre; bass guitarist, Nathan Heavel; and drummer, Geoff Palmer. The unique style, most easily defined as an aggressive, metal/alternative sound, is an evolving product of diverse musical influences. With the deep screams, heavy drums, and powerful guitar riffs and leads of bands such as Killswitch Engage and All That Remains, combined with the flowing vocal harmonies of bands such as Avenged Sevenfold and Fightstar, Rest Among Ruins stands out in the current metal scene. They have shared the stage with some of the most influential acts in modern metal including All That Remains, The Devil Wears Prada, August Burns Red, Soilwork, Threat Signal, and many more.
After a year of touring the United States in 2009, the band intends to write and produce its first full length album starting in the fall for a 2010 release. Stay posted for new music, merchandise, shows, and updates on the album
Making History
Today we made team history by winning the first two games of the season via the slaughter rule. This marks the first time the Outlaws have won a game by slaughtering another team and we did it twice in the same day. We also achieved another team milestone with Tim Hawkins and Larson Kimble combining to throw the teams first no hitter.
Good job guys very impressive day and great way to start the season!!!!
Fundraising Events
We are coming up with a couple possible ideas for fundraisers this year. We would like to help out local bands in the area as well so we are looking to combine efforts with local bands / artists to hold an event showcasing their talent along with rasing funds for the team to cover league fees and cost of umpires. Some events we are working on are a BBQ party, bike / car show , and a crabfeast. If you are a local band or artists and would like to provide entertainment for one of these events please contact Tim at 443-789-7999 and email some of your music to marylandoutlaws@yahoo.com

New Player Recruitment
We are currently recruiting new players for the 2010 season. The Outlaws will be looking to get players who have a high level of talent and playing experience. We had great success last year recruiting players from high school and college programs, and would like to continue that into this years team. This year we would like to recruit more pitchers than we had last year, along with looking for some power to add into our lineup. Please contact us if you are a high school or college player looking for a team to play on this year. As always if your not in this age bracket but have a good baseball resume please feel free to contact us also.
