  • 2014 Legion Baseball Senior Tryouts 4/27 and 5/4 from 2:00pm til 3:45pm @ Mountain Post 781
  • 2014 Legion Baseball Youth Tryouts on 4/27 and 5/4 at 4:00 @ Mountain Post 781
  • 2014 Legion Baseball Developmental Tryouts on 4/27 and 5/4 from 6:00pm til 7:45pm
Players and Parents:  We currently have nineteen players registered for the Developmental legion team.  Legion rules allow a maximum of eighteen players on a roster.  As a result, tryouts will be held on April 27 and May 4 at the Post 781 field from 6:00 pm until 7:45 pm.  Jeff will meet with the parents of all players trying out on April 27 at 6:00 pm at the legion pavilion.  The meeting will be brief so please plan on attending.

Based upon the current number, one player will be unable to participate in Developmental Legion baseball with Post 781 this summer.  All players and parents should also consider the fact that a roster of eighteen players is difficult to manage and there is no mandatory playing time.  The goal is to win and the coaches will try to get as many players into the games as possible but there will be games when players will not play.

Jeff has spoken with Terry Kline regarding the status of the Mountain Top Babe Ruth program.  He is looking for additional players and you may contact him at 570-823-7949 if you are interested in signing up for Babe Ruth.  Although all players are welcome to tryout for Mountain Post 781 baseball, some may have a better opportunity for playing time on the Mountain Top Babe Ruth team.

Any player choosing to voluntarily withdraw their registration prior to tryouts will receive a refund of the $125.00 fee.  A refund of $125.00 will also be paid to all players who are not selected for the team after tryouts.  Our roster must be submitted to the regional director on May 18, 2014.

If you have any questions, please contact Jeff at 570-466-2539 or tokach3@verizon.net.  Jeff will also answer whatever questions you may have at the meeting on April 27.
