2010 A-C NORTH MITE AGE SUMMER HOCKEY CAMP
2010 MITE AGE SUMMER CAMP LINK (2 PAGES)
A-C North MITE AGE Summer Hockey Camp-- Monday, July 26 thru Friday, July 30!! The Camp will be under the Direction of Rob and Nicole Knowles.
Just a few notes and reminders pertaining to the 2010 Ameri-Can North Mite Age hockey camp which begins on Monday, July, 26th:
1. A parents meeting will be held on Monday, July 26th in the Ameri-Can North Sports Center lobby at 8:00am. This informational meeting should take about 15 minutes.
2. We would request that players be ready to go out on the ice by 8:45am. Parents are invited to help dress players for the morning session and camp staff will also be ready to assist. The first ice session starts at 9:00am each day of the camp and staff members will be busy preparing for the on-ice activities by 8:45.
3. Ameri-Can North will assign two locker rooms that will ONLY be used by players in our camp. Players will be assigned a locker room stall in one of the locker rooms. Players may leave their equipment in the locker room at the conclusion of the camp day. Staff will assist the players in laying out or hanging up equipment so that it dries out overnight. Locker rooms will be locked by the staff at the end of the day. This will make it easier for parents because you will not have to drag equipment to and from the rink each day of the camp.
4. Now is a good time to complete an equipment check to make sure that everything still fits. Remember to also check skates to see if they need sharpening and to check sticks to see if they are too short.
5. Parents are invited to attend the camp at their leisure.
6. We will have an outdoor morning activity that will run anywhere from 60-75 minutes. With that in mind players may want to bring the following: sunscreen, baseball caps, change of clothing, sneakers, a street hockey stick.
7. Players should bring their own water bottle with them to the camp. We will have a water station where players will be able to refill their bottle.
8. Parents or guardians will sign-in and sign-out their children in our register. If someone besides a parent or guardian is going to pick up your child then please inform camp staff in advance.
9. Remember to put your child's name on their belongings (water bottle, hockey equipment, etc.)
We look forward to seeing you on July 26th. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to email us.

WHY YOUTH HOCKEY?
Hockey helps boys and girls make big strides on and off the ice. Here are just a few of the positive characteristics youth hockey helps bring out of kids:
Pride Focus Exhilaration
Strength Responsibility Thrills
Adventure Confidence Leadership
Friends Teamwork Laughter
More than a Game
Hockey develops skills on the ice that build a foundation for a lifetime. In addition to athletic prowess, hockey promotes confidence, pride, focus and responsibility. With an emphasis on fun, hockey is a game to be played and enjoyed for life.
Life-long Friendships
Starting with the bonds created in the locker room to the relationships formed on ice, hockey creates life-long friendships. This camaraderie shared on and off the ice encourages teamwork and the natural development of leadership skills.
Set Up for Success
From learning to balance school, responsibilities at home, time at the rink and playing with friends, hockey encourages kids to learn time management skills that will later serve them in all facets of life. Hockey’s unique source of physical fitness promotes healthy living.
Hockey is Fun
The thrill of carrying the puck up the ice on a breakaway, the exhilaration of scoring your first goal or making that amazing save is possible due to the encouraging environment hockey provides to try new things and grow as a hockey player and person.
Join us in the fun of hockey.
