    Mansfield Select Platinum
    July 6, 2007
Another outstanding performance by all of the young ladies. You stayed relaxed throughout the tournament and played Longhorn ball on your way to qualifying for a National Championship in Platinum Select. The bats exploded throughout the tournament combined with excellent execution of the bunt. The offense scored a combined 28 runs. Pitchers with Megan carrying most of the load mowed down their opponents throughout bracket play pitching a no hitter, one hitter, and a two hitter while allowing o runs scored. The whole defense played great making the routine plays and some ESPN highlights.
Lets go win a National Championship next month!!!!

    Metro Tournament
Due to continuous rain and prior commitments, we had to pull out before the championship game. Even though we had
to settle for second place, you represented the Longhorns well with your play and character. After playing Texas Elite in a zero-zero rain shorten 4-inning game the last time we met them, they took the first game from us
after we spotted them two runs in the first inning. You hit the ball very hard, but they seemed to be at the right place at the right time. Pitching settled down after the first inning and only allowed a total of three hits in the entire game. Due to scheduling conflicts, The Lady Longhorns will not be able to play in the Regional Tournament.
Get ready for the Mansfield Platinum Select Tournament.

    Mansfield
April 29, 2007 Great job this weekend in Mansfield. We got off to a rough start falling to the lady Crushers in ITB in our first bracket game. Hats off to you ladies for the great effort and determination for scratching our way back up the bracket to the championship game where we met Velocity.
It was a tough game from the beginning . Hot and tired you ladies didn’t give up and pulled out a 4 to 2 victory over the tournaments only undefeated team.,

On Sunday our bats picked up with great pitching and a solid defense we were able to out score our opponents 35 to 7 in 5 games. Our Team batting average for the 5 games on Sunday was 505 with only 9 strikeouts.
Ladies we are not even close to playing the caliber of ball that you are capable of.
    KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK

    Southlake Tournament
    April 27, 2007
You girls did a great job this weekend in our first “A” tournament of the year. Sixteen teams went home before you even started playing your last game and we were just a few games away from playing in the championship game. The pitching did very well and the defense played great contributing in all of the victories. The bats were cold at times, but considering the limited time of practice over the last four weeks, you played above all expectations. Now that league has
started, lets take care of business in Mansfield and go get that 1st place trophy next tournament.

    Mesquite March Madness
March 24, 2007 .“GREAT JOB”this weekend in Mesquite. You ladies set the bar for the rest of the season. Excellent execution on both sides of the ball. You hit well over .500 with 53 hits scoring over 40 runs in bracket play while only allowing only 2 runs . The pitching was outstanding only giving up 14 hits. The infield did great, and what they could not get to, the outfield did. We only committed two physical errors and kept mental errors down to a minium. Coaches were very impressed with your team work and the way you hustled every game . You represented the Texas Lady Longhorns well with your character. Stayed tuned-“A” ball coming soon.
