Message From Our Club President
June 24, 2013
Union Soccer players coaches and parents, Volunteer Park Turf Field is now open for play. What a great feeling, we finally have a fully functioning soccer field. Our spring 2013 season was a success. Soccerfest 2013 was even bigger than last year. For the Fall 2013 season we will be rolling out new look uniform kits for both the Rec. and Travel divisions. We are expecting great registration numbers for the fall rec. league. Our travel divsion is also adding on new teams. If you are interested in our travel division please email Tony Lobo at firstname.lastname@example.org We are working in conjuction with the Township Recreation department to re sod Conlon Field. Once that project is completed we will make that a multi-use field, which means we will lign the field for small sided u-8 through u-10, and full sided u-11 and up. We have also secured space for Union Soccer at the Union High turf field for the fall 2013 season. Union Soccer Board of Directors just recently approved and presented the Union Soccer Inc. Inaugural Scholarships. The two $1,000.00 recipients were; Nicole Bashford and Odetimi Ogunyinka. Both are products of Union Soccer, and are continuing their soccer in college. Congratulations to both our inaugural winners. We will have more information for applicants who wish to be considered for the Union Soocer Inc. Scholarship for the graduating class of 2014.
