THEY ARE SCHEDULED TO PLAY JV AND VARSITY GAMES VERSUS SOUTH ALAMANCE, DUDLEY HIGH SCHOOL AND PAGE HIGH SCHOOL BEFORE RETURNING SUNDAY MARCH 30.
SCRIMMAGES VS SOUYTH ALLEGHENY AND SHENANGO WERE PLAYED IN FRIGID TEMPERATURES BUT THE TEAM PERFORMED WELL. PITCHING WAS THE STRONG POINT FOR THE TEAM, WHILE THE DEFENSE AND THE HITTING STARTED TO CATCH UP.
GAME 1 VS BUTLER
DEFENSIVE LAPSES LATE IN THE GAME CONTRIBUTED TO THE FINAL SCORE OF A CLOSE GAME WITH THE TORNADOES. THE WOLVERINES ACTUALLY OUTHIT BUTLER 6-5 BUT COULD NOT PUSH ANY RUNS ACROSS.
GAME 2 VS PENN TRAFFORD
SAME SCENERIO WITH THE DEFENSE, WITH IS THOUGHT TO BE THE STRONG POINT OF THE TEAM THIS YEAR. PITCHING AGAIN DID A GOOD JOB AND HITTING CONTINUES TO IMPROVE. THIS TEAM IS GETTING BETTER EVERY GAME.

Class of 2016 Spotlight: C/RHP Jake Jessell
Wed November 13, 2013
By Greg Williams PA Director of Scouting
Today we continue a series of articles looking at the top Class of 2016 prospects in the state in preparation for the release of the updated rankings scheduled for this Friday.
At No. 3 in PA and No. 17 in the PBR combined rankings, C/RHP Jake Jessell has displayed two-way abilities that make him one of the top prospects in this class. The 6-foot, 220-pound University of Pittsburgh commit has a fastball that sits in the mid-80s and is capable of touching 90 mph off the mound. He has displayed consistent pop times of 1.97-2.05 behind the plate and has legitimate power potential as a right-handed hitter with a bat exit velocity of 89 mph. Jessell was the loan Class of 2016 prospect to participate as a member of Team Pennsylvania at the 2013 PBR Midwest Future Games
