Age Group 10-12
The Major League Division plays in PONY's Bronco League. Boys in this age group cannot turn 13 before May 1, 2021 and must turn 9 by May 1 2021.
Regulation Games are 7 innings long.
The baseball used by this group is the Rawlings RPLB1 (It must have the PONY Logo)
RULES:
*Bases set at 70 feet
*Pitchers plate set at 50 feet from the back point of home plate.
*Batters box size is 4 feet by 6 feet
*Pitchers Plate is 6"x24"
*Pitchers may pitch according to the pitch count rules set forth by the PONY League. The Calendar week runs Monday thru Sunday.
*Unlimited 12 year olds may pitch during a week, but 12 year olds from any 1 team may pitch in no more than 15 innings total for the week.
*Pitching cards(Provided by the League) must be used by each team to record innings pitched as well as pitch count for each pitcher. The pitching card must be presented at each game. At the time of any pitching change, the card must be filled out and presented to the opposing manager who will check the card and sign it, verifying the pitcher and the innings. ALL PITCHING CARDS MUST BE DONE IN INK!
*No player shall intentionally collide with any other player while running the bases or fielding the ball. If a close play exists at any base, the runner coming into that base must attempt to avoid contact or be called out. RUNNERS DO NOT HAVE TO SLIDE.
*Teams may score only 5 runs per inning or a maximum of 8 runs on the continuation of a play of a hit ball. Runs are unlimited after the 6th inning.
*If either team leads by 12 runs or more after 4 innings or 10 runs after 5, the game is over.
*All other playing rules are from the "Sporting News" Major League Rule Book.
