| As I said on the main page, this League is gaining more and more interest, so pick these guys up if you need players. It will benefit the League as a whole, and maybe you, if you can sign the guy for next regular season. Also, this is a reason to change the exemption rules, people want into this League.

| Ian, everyone I talk to seems to hate the exemption rule, however, when it comes time to vote it out it gets defeated.....I'm not sure if guys are just talking out their ass when they talk about it.

| I love the exemption rule. Keeps guys out that are not committed at all and are just getting swings and only show up when they have nothing better to do. No offense to the VWF with this comment but they had to miss several games due to tournaments. Imagine a whole league full of teams that have to take forfiets because guys are playing with their other teams. Just about every team has 3 or 3 guys like that now but you can get by. Add in a few more like that and you can't feild a team.

| the exception rule is good as ryno said keeps forefits down, but it is bad because you could let better competition in the league. i think every team should be allowed to pick a few players up next year and they HAVE to make a certin amount of games.

| I understand your point Ryno, and I certainly agree that the exemption rule does keep guys committed and certainly does limit the number of forfeits. Secondly it gives a place to guys who wouldn't be able to play anywhere else a shot at playing (namely guys like me). But I see ways around it like Lemdawg pointed out, make rules regarding such players more stringent.
1. All teams must declare the players who play on other teams, just as they do now. (Not doing so will result in forfeiture) As I almost found out this year.
2. All players that are on other teams rosters must play in a certain amount of games with a minimum amount of bats per each game.
3. Any team that forfeits a game due to lack of players must pay a league fine of lets say 50.00 per game. Thus you forfeit two games that week it will cost you 100.00 in fines.
4. If a team forfeits more than two games (More than one week) they are disqualified from playoff ball in the league.
If you implemented these rules I think it would allow teams to get better as well as limit the amount of forfeitures due to tournament ball.

| Good arguments. To further illustrate my point....
How many "top" players are going to want to enter the league and play with a bad team? NONE! Because they will have the option of playing with the PNA or JR's or another consistently good team with players that they know and play other leagues with. The VFW has caught up now but the past few years it has been PNA, Reko's, JR's, and CM as the teams at the top. Having free reign with roster additions would just add to those powerhouses and it would ruin the league because the other teams would not be able to comptete.

| my two cents . ryno if the league would not be flexible with the pna you guys would forfiet on the weekend of the pna trip wouldnt you . as for the vfw right now we are hurting because we have 3 guys now having knee surgery . ernie , james lance as of late and greg bates to start the season . so i did have extra guys to fill in but a couple didnt show and james and greg were suposed to be those guys . so there is more to the story . i tried to reschedule both weeks but delpadre wanted the wins and the stallions game was to late in the season to reschedule. i will take the shot to win a state championship over sunday anytime , i am sorry . league rules make it tough to get 11 guys there . i am not allowed to pick guys up when guys get hurt . not until i have only 9 or 10 guys . but we are not whining we are playing the season out with acouple bumps . maybe a league rule change should let you pick up guys when guys are done for the season . our roster deadline is way to soon , you dont really know who really wants to play and accept a certain role until at least a couple weeks into the season . i am all for raising the minimium amout of at bats and scrap the exempt player rule. this year is a fresh start for us and we will build a solid team even when we are in tournies .

| I was only using you guys as an example Artie. I agree with taking a shot at states over Sunday league. You are a little different because it is pretty much your entire team that plays both. But if there were no exemption rule it would be even worse. My point being that if more teams had players that were skipping league games because of tournaments then forfiets would be hapenning way too often. If PNA were to add anyone we want then we would have even more players that would be skipping games. And to add those players we would have to subtract someone that only wants to play on Sunday's and would have shown up every week.

| More ramblings. 1. PNA arranges the tournament at the start of the season so there are no last minute suprises. 2. There should be a rule to be able to add players in case of someone getting a season ending injury. The problem will be with who you add. If a part time player that is hitting .250 gets hurt should you be allowed to replace him with Tim Cress? Probably not. Tough rule to enforce. 3. We should make the schedule so everyone has a bye week for ASA E and D states. There is little chance for anyone to get in these tournaments without taking a loss in the league. Since this is an ASA league that makes sense. 4. I am done. I don't run a team or run a league and the reason why is because I don't like listening to know it alls like myself.

| The following teams all have guys that play in other leagues, 1. VFW 2. PNA 3. PUB 4.Mens Club 5. JR's 6. Savarios 7. Tri-State 8. Baxters 9. Crowe Bar
I don't know about Europa, DelPadre, Rosies or Stallions, CM or Joques.
But most of the teams have or know guys that play in other leagues, and would all have the same access to players outside the league. I just don't see it as the rich get richer. I see it as the league getting better.
Hell, I don't really care either way, I'm down regardless because it is the only day that I can play. I guess it is a matter of whether we are all going to look at Sunday Morning fun ball or serious blood and guts shit. If it is all for fun, then fuck it...close the league up and say only guys who play here and here only should play. If we want the league to get tougher and more competitive we need to open it up. Regardless of the exemption rules, PNA, CM, JR's and VFW are going to dominate for sometime to come as it is now. Opening it up does give the other teams a fighting chance.

| Okay Ryno, I propose that since you and I now have to fight, to avoid us actually getting injured in this fight that we hire people to fight for us in our stead, Thus I propose that we go to a Nudie Bar and we each choose a girl to mud or jello wrestle. If your girl wins the fight you will be declared the victor of our fight, if my girl wins then I am declared the winner. This will of course enable the winner to claim publicly that he kicked the others ass, without either one of us getting anything other than drunk and or slightly to moderately aroused.
