Anyone fancy getting the ice at killie for a skate at any point? Here another thing, there’s a distinct lack of forum banter! Jimma how’s the badger watch going???
Also anyone want to start some off ice training anytime soon, or is all the off ice training being done at the local boozer?

thursday nights might be a tough one for me to pull off as ive been working thursdays nights for the last month and a bit since i went back to work. what al do is find out if i can get this thursday off (wish al give you a phone) and we can get stuck into the off ice stuff. i dont usualy work a monday tuesday or friday, so am usualy ok to do some then. i was possibly lookin to do some off ice stuff twice a week, one night endurance, on night sprints and stuff, so if anyones got any ideas or hits and tips feel free to shair.

murdie and i were hoping we could get a few bodies to trap at killie since the ice is dirt cheep just for a scrimage.
murdie said he was talkin to millsy and he was interested sofar thats 3 of us. i know the traveling might put a few people off but if we car shair it should be that bad.
damo, i was thinkin it might be good for ally to give him some training through the off season.
cheers
gardner

As requested by Murdie, I have contacted Kilmarnock re ice for the Summer. They can offer Wednesdays, 10.00 to 11.30pm ; Thursdays, 10.30pm to 12.00 mid-night ; Friday, 10.00 to 11.30pm. The cost is £88.50 per hour, therefore for the usual hour and a half it is £132.75. At £10 per head you will need at least 14 players.

The ice will need to be officially booked with an ice booking form and the billing will be done by invoice. In addition each player has to pay an entry fee, each night, of £1.20.

All the above was put to the committee at our meeting on Tuesday and it was decided that the booking of the ice will not be done by the club – one reason being (based on previous experience at Kilmarnock) if less than the required number of players turn up then the club account would be liable for the difference and, sorry guys, but that is not on.

If one of you guys want to take the responsibility of putting your name on the dotted line, then the person to call for a booking form is Chris Collins (Ice Manager) at The Galleon Centre, Tel 01563 524014.

Ice @ killie sounds good.

For off ice training, the council used to hire out school halls at night for £8 an hour. Well suited to circuit trainin etc... although we used to just smash the f&*k out of each other with uni-hockey sticks.

i looked into getting the hall at mcmasters where i work. its avalable most nights of the week, probly weds would be best for just sticks and gloves hockey, as long as we use a hockey ball or the orange pucks. i think i would get the full hall for an hour for £8 odd. if everyones interested then al book it.
im basicaly just looking for team activited as there wasnt much last year except a 2 week party at my place cuz my mum was away on holiday
