| yeah the building caught on fire i guess a short in the wiring pretty bad from what wife saw.fire dept cut the roof off. no one got hurt though

| Just an "Official Update" as to the fire yesterday at the Village Pub. The cause of the fire was ruled accidental and it was from a cigarette that was discarded in the parking lot and caught the exterior wall of the building. The fire burned the inside of the wall. No fire damage in the building. Good Luck to the Pub in recovering after the fire.

| I had to work and I missed all of this. Apparently one of the "Dawn of the Dead" clientele was careless with a ciggarette. I can just picture the scene in my mind...a bunch of bewildered zombies scurrying out of the blaze, arms extended straight out as they shuffle aimlessly in the streets moaning "BRAAAAAINS"

| I just wanted to let you know that what I just read, made me feel that this league has gone to hell. The league started out to be a friendly Sunday morning softball league, where everyone played ball and had fun. But the fun was not at the expense of another Team in the league. I have been in this league since it started and it discussed me to see what it has become. I hope everyone had fun at my unfortunate expense.

Howie while I don't know you personally i'm guessing if you own/run a bar at some point u must have had a sense of humor. I'm sure you can take a step back and see the funny side of the posts above. | Yes I do have a sense of humor. It is not a joke when someone's business catches fire and there is a lose. Also, not everyone is a super hero baseball player. Everyone who plays is there to have fun and play the game of softball. Not out to win the World Series.

| Howie...nobody meant any ill will toward you or your business. I'm sure the only reason why anyone commented was because they all knew that no one got hurt and it was not a serious incident. No one in this league harbours any ill feelings toward you or anyone on the Pub team and they were all relieved to know that no one got hurt.
If the post offended you in any way than I apologize for my part in it.
Just to let you know the league has not degenerated in anyway in fact it is far superior than it has ever been. It has become an extremely competitive league, it is just different from what you were used to when you played years ago. The days of rounding people up at the bars and playing ball for bragging rights are gone, it is a very competitive situation now.
The league is comprised of a bunch of great guys and they are all very good people, but perhaps the joke was a bit tasteless and for that I'm sure we all apologize...but we are constantly breaking each others balls.
The irony was just too much for us to resist...you play the Firefighters and the place catches on fire, surely you can see the irony in that.

| Heath The fire is the least of the problems over there on that street. Seems the fucking town is always closing down that road to do some stupid ass road construction, that hurts all the commerce in that area.

| Funny how somone who was so sensative about someone hitting it up the middle, and worried about what teams should be in the league and not be in the league. Can all of a sudden grow a sack and kick some people who are down. Although i found the post ammusing. I just think the horses mouth its coming from shouldnt throw stones when they live in a glass house.

| I think we should all go to the Pub when it reopens and drink until we stumble on to Main Street. He has been a long time sponser in this league. I think it is the least we could do to get him started back up. Beer, burgers, horseshoes, and ball busting. Is there anything more?
