| What up with this "World Cup Fever"????
As a diehard baseball fan, having never heard of this "World Cup Fever" prior to last week, I thought it was some kind of "Global Jock Itch" spreading towards our perfect little hamlet of Unionville currible only with liberal doses of 10 am alcohol and tv!!

| Seriously, why would anyone take any notice of a game whose players can't even agree upon what the game should be called?! Really, is it football, or is it soccer?? If we could play baseball with just our feet and one ball imagine how easy it would be! No mitts, no pitching, no hitting, no bases ….hat if baseball could be played like soccer with your HEAD! can't hit the ball????.. no problem, do a bunt off the left temple!

| This worldcup is exactly like the second world war, the italians are useless, the french surrender early, the US joined in the last minute, nobody realizes how good the Japanese are and England is left to deal with the Germans.
