| you guys should count miami senior high soccer team too i've been in miami high soccer team since my freshmen year now i'm a senior we have dominated district 16 for the past three years winning three times consecutive distric champinship now we're going for the fourth distric championship and hopefully this time make it to states!

| you guys should consider south miami as well, i know we haven't got to states in the last 3 years but this year we are beatin every team we encounter,we beat columbus and we are in 2nd place in our district and Luis "honduras" JDD i remembeer you bro, congrats for your winnings, dale good luck to all of you out there.

| I played against you guys and you are much better than last year, but district 15 looks very even with the exception of two teams, the top and the bottom. I see you guys going into regionals if you can overcome Reagan and Columbus. You beat Columbus once and tied Reagan but the second round will be tougher!

| Jorge...just go to the soccer websites on this page's menu, ESPN Rise is there. Also, I pasted all the scores from the Miami Herald under "Headlines" Boys Recent scores and Girls Recent Scores. Some coaches email me the scores which do not come out in the Herald but I am always missing info. from certain teams.

Coral Park awarded GMAC boys' soccer title after Edison vacates bracket
The Greater Miami Athletic Conference announced Thursday that the championship match of the Title-GMAC boys’ soccer tournament between Edison and Coral Park won’t be played.
Edison vacated its slot in the tournament after reporting to the GMAC early Thursday that it had used an ineligible player during Tuesday’s quarterfinal match against North Miami Beach. The game was originally scheduled for Friday at 7 p.m. at Ted Hendricks Stadium.
As a result, the Red Raiders forfeited their victories against NMB and Varela in the earlier rounds of the tournament and Coral Park (11-3-5) was awarded the GMAC championship – its first since 1982 in boys’ soccer.
“I don’t want to elaborate too much, but it was a simple oversight that could happen to any school,” Edison athletic director Taj Echoles said. “In the interest of fairness, we chose to self-report the mistake.”
The forfeiture will not affect Edison’s playoff status.
The Red Raiders (16-3-2) have a first-round bye in next week’s District 15-3A playoff tournament that will be played at North Miami Stadium. Coral Park is the top seed in the District 14-6A playoffs that will be played at Memorial Field in Flamingo Park.

| What happen with the people in charge of the HS soccer games? why they didn't hire a refferies that known the game rules and in good shape to do that job? In the regional final Varela-CP the refferie ( in evident out of shape)was unable to run with the Varela's play with 2 kids in off side !!! and they score !! and he validate the goal half hour later because he din'T know what happen!!! I know with the crisis everybody want to make extra money but why you have to damage those kids dreams and effort doing jobs WITH INEPT PEOPLE

| I agree. Some referees are out of shape and that stage of the game the FHSAA ought to look more into it. During regionals, Miami-Dade refs go to Broward and viceversa. However, being a referee has to be tough...since one side will always be unhappy....it even happens in the World Cup everytime.

| I agree refs are out of shape and many times don't know the rules completely, but I was there at the game and In no way was there an offside on the first goal, and varela was the suprerior team. They dominated the game and if it was not for cp's good goalkeeper the score would have been worse than 2-0.

| It is unfortunate what people can do and say just to destroy someone's else is character. Whatever they said About Edison this year was totally false, someone even pretend to be a Miami Edison Sr. High's student just so people can believe in his story. for the past 5 Yrs Miami Edison Boys soccer has been one of the top 5 team in dade and broward county. we're always in the GMAC braket. always made to the district final, our players always go to college D1, D11 school and some in Junior college which is due to their ACt test score but other than that they could have made to D1 D11 for we have that kind of talent surrounding our team. This year most of our players will be and somebody's college. This what Miami Edison is made up of. We respect our coaching staff for everything they've done for us. next year is looking very promissing and even I'll be away in college I know The Miami Edison Boys soccer program will keeping rising to the challenge...... so to all the haters outhere stop talking just play soccer just like we've been doing it that's why we are where we are now!
