| Pitching rule for Minor League Boys. Keep in mind that these rules are in place for the safety of the pitchers and must be followed.
1. The calendar week runs monday through Sunday
2. A pitcher may pitch a maximum of 3 innings per calendar day
3. A pitcher may pitch a maximum of 8 innings in a calendar week (Monday thru Sunday)
4. The pitch count for each pitcher in a minor league game shall be 65 pitches per game. Once the pitch count has been reached, the pitcher may finish pitching to the current batter but must then be removed from the mound as pitcher for the remainder of that game.
5. A pitcher who pitches 3 innings before reaching the pitch count limit, must be removed from the mound due to the 3 inning rule. A pitcher who throws even 1 pitch in the 4th inning in a calendar day is an illegal pitcher and shall result in an immediate forfeit for that team and the head coach shall receive a 2 game suspension.
6. A pitcher who reaches the maximum pitch count before completing 3 innings must be removed as pitcher. The pitcher is charged with an inning pitched even if they throw only one pitch in an inning.
7. Any pitcher who pitches in more than 8 innings in a calendar week is an illegal pitcher and shall result in a forfeit for that team and the head coach shall receive a 2 game suspension.
8. Any pitcher who pitches in 3 innings in a calendar day must have 40 hours of rest before being allowed to pitch again. Any coach who does not abide by this rule shall receive a 2 game suspension and the team will forfeit due to an illegal pitcher being used.
9. Edison League pitching cards must be kept by both teams. The cards include each pitchers name, innings pitched, and pitches pitches. They must be completed in ink and signed by the opposing coach at each game.

| In all boys pitching, if a pitcher is removed as pitcher, he may NOT return as pitcher in that game. He may play any other position but may not be used as a pitcher again in that game.
Some people are confusing this rule with the girls pitching rule which allows re-entry of a pitcher.
