Someone sent out an email to all the umpires in their association saying that Kirby and I gave The umpire Bobby such a hard time that he should have gotten extra pay. Plus we made it worse because he had to deal with us in the 100 degree heat.
OK so here is my answer to that.
First of all congrats to GQ for beating us they deserved it and they out played us.
Second If you had made a play or two maybe the game would have gone faster. But since you were like 2 for 22 fielding ground balls at third base maybe you were the reason he was in the heat so long.
You wanna send an email out to people outside the league complaining about me and I have never even said 2 words to you.
Maybe you should put that effort into working on fielding a ground ball because YOU STINK!!!!
As for the rest of the GQ guys, Great job you were a classy group and I enjoyed both games....

You're a god damned umpire and you write to the area director? Go watch a saturday tournament, I'm sure you'd have to go back to rite aid to buy more pens and paper to write all the letters for the umpire's feelings getting hurt in hot weather.
That's some bitchassness (according to P-Diddy, Diddy combs, Puff Daddy, Sean P-Diddy Combs....I think you get the point there)
But really? We had two hard fought games and you guys won!!!! Why the fuck would you cry about something after sweeping the other team?
Shit like this is why the fun is being taken out of the game.....what a bitch move!

| Bobby is the coolest umpire in the world and can handle himself and a dirtdog like Wayne and a super hero like Kirby ...no problem. I hope that isnt a true story. Id like to think it may get ugly on the field but it ends on the field.

| Bobby's strike zone was worse that day than most days, he was tough...I've been playing games that he called since 05-06, he's a good dude and I would consider him in the top 20% around. Ruggieri couldn't adjust to the wind and racked up a bunch of walks and was frustrated....once again, Bobby's zone was inconsistent. Nothing Wayne nor Kirby said wasn't something that Bobby hasn't heard thousands of times....it was never over the top nor were any warnings issued. All of us were smiling and bullshitting after the game....no ill will.
This is stupid if it's true....yet my 1467th reason for retiring next year....stupid baby fucking drama.

| I will not make excuses for why we lost we were out played.
everyone who knows me know that I will always admit when I act poorly or disrespectfully.
I didn't like showing up to a tournament and having 4 umpires tell me they heard I was to tough on Bobby.
You can say whatever you want but to send that out to all the umpires is just a douche move.
Like I said he was 2 for 22 fielding ground balls and maybe that made it too long and hot for bobby because he forced him to stay out there watching him boot ball after ball.

Secondly, he couldn't find the plate and it was windy as hell, in turn, he couldn't adjust with his knuckleball....he had a bad day and Bobby had zero to do with his lack of control.

| ryman is an excellent pitcher i think. i dont know if that really needs to said but im saying it anyway. and wayne is a feisty fuck but again..im sure bobby can deal. and working the umps is part of the game anyway. i just go ahead and give them swag and cash and avoid the on field stuff )

Not sure why Ken Fogel sent any emails or what the specific content was, but bcuz I was made aware, I did ask him what's the story with those emaIl accusations ....and. ..my take on his response was that he was simply giving Bobby props for maintaining his composure during an intense battle of strikezone analysis, ...
Kens email in no way shape or form represented myself or my team.
I love Bobby too, & Im sure I've poked jabbed and tortured hIm for his ever changing strikezone calls just as much as Kirby, Wayne or anyone else!! Lmao..
I don't really kno ken. He came on this season as a late add on. Seems like a nice guy. I was surprised to hear that he sent the email, I Still don't understand why.
I never saw the email so I can only go on what he replied.
2012 season is over for us. Our overrated team was finally exposed yesterday... -)... lb4lb is right tho... good thing we got dropped... I had cardboard cutouts of myself on order to line the whole field for the finals ... I was gona sponsor every league team in fallball & buy my own umpires for fallball... I guess I'll just leave that stuff for lb4lb...
I might make a surprise celebrity appearance Sunday to heckle Wayne walker ...

| after last weeks games on monday a multilink email is sent out from the umpire assoc I was part of which asked looking to confirm which fields from the coventry league ended up umping 2 or 3 games.
my ballbustin response to make lite of the way it went was along the lines of even though Bobby L only worked 2 battles in that 100 degree humid heat that lasted over 3 hrs and still handling what Kirby,Wayne and that group gave him....I say pay him at least 3 !!!
sorry to say for the drama, but it wasnt a complaint to the USSSA higher, just more of a humorous complement and to in general make lite of it to everyone else. 3 hrs is typically 3 games worth of time and that humidity was over the top....the Kirby and Wayne type of nonsense is well known typical but on that particular day it took an umpire like bobby to not totally lose his head and end the game right there for them like others would have for a sunday league game.
and is part of the reason why its been tough to get good coverage of umps who feel its worth umping the sunday leagues.
and yes, warnings were issued when Kirby lost his.

| It was very windy at times, must've been difficult for ryman to work his knuckle, he's a good pitcher, and along with plenty of others, always gets me out. Just saying it must've been frustrating, the games took hours because two good teams left it all out there, we were lucky enough to move on, very difficult first round draw.

As far as humorous,
I don't find it humorous for you Kenny to send out an email to all the umpires calling me out personally for this. I spoke to Bobby and he didnt feel as if I was hard on him at all. But your email made me look bad to all the umpires.
Listen your a scrub player, Worry about learning how to field a ground ball because next season everytime I play you I will be smashing balls right at your ankles to watch you dance.

both kirby and wayne especially kirby have played at levels that the typical softball player only dreams about and they are extremely passionate and competitive no matter when or where or at what level they play at..whether there in the worlds or playing in coventry they play and react the same...its called having hearts and guts....so sick of people saying its only sunday morning softball...well guess what its all we got and were all going nowhere after it so i see no wrong in being passionate about the game...

| my 6 yr old daughter did less whining with a burn blistered hand I dealt with last night.
I should of known it wouldnt be a humorous view point by u.
smashing balls at my feet Im ok with. I'll still play normal depth against u.
but the angry face icon? now the gloves are off.
the only one who has ever worries me smashing a ball my way is Kirby. He is the only guy who makes me have to play infield on the outfield line no matter what the situation. thats where u 2 in the same sentence seperate.
the nonsense is just that. behaving like a jackass by taking away from the game to rationalize attempting to intimidate an umpire to your advantage. I dont care how good someone is or think they are, you suck if u need to consistantly make this part of your game in slo-pitch underhand softball.
lets not rationalize that redundant foolish behavior for passion and competetiveness for the game and just coming to play as hard as u can that day with what u have left.
to me,players I respect like Kirby are just way too good and dedicated of a player to let even the worst umping affect his ability.but he is human too.
other than that, I think most anyone somewhat respects your efforts and dedication to local softball with putting together the best team u can to consistantly get better with competeting up.

Wayne u r a z leaguer with the rest of us, except Kirby of course.
The last time I heard z leaguer it was Kirby screaming that at me after he popped out in a game against us at the Beast.
2 weeks later I show up in Coventry and we are playing Kirby's team. So I said this is the Z league what r u doing here. We both got a laugh out of it, yes the almighty Kirby does laugh and joke once in a while.

| Where I appreciate my teammates coming to my defense, I make no excuses for my play against GQ. I struggled both pitching and hitting and because of that I contributed more to our losing the series than to the incredible fight my team put up.
I did my fair share of complaining to Bobby which he and I spoke about on the field and put behind us. His strike zone may not be my favorite, but it's consistent and my lack of performance is my fault.
Good luck to Crowe and Moulton. See you all in fall ball.
