| do people realize that all the holbrook people are volunteers? AND they dont stare at their i-phones or man the message boards 24/7!?!?
they are probably out trying to work on the fields that are being questioned. im sure at 6:54 am they would have been more then willing to have an extra pair of hands to help get the fields ready for 9 am instead of being questioned at 642 and at 820 am. is it that far of a drive to check at 9 am if the game is on if you dont hear anything?
i just dont understand the expectations of some of these parents. there are no paid grounds crews...its vlounteers up at the crack of dawn trying to get the fields ready. have some patience or better yet, HELP.

| We all volunteer (remember we all pay a work bond). As far as 8:23 well yeah time to make a call. It's not about the drive to Holbrook -evidently you don't realize not all games are played at the Holbrook fields - some of had to travel!!!!

| Mr. g1962, for the record, your work bond which you obviously do grudgingly, is not "volunteer" time. Its a requirement for your son or daughter to play. Sorry if an 8:27 posting was not quick enough for you. All coaches were made aware by 7:45 of the delays or cancellattions. Maybe YOU were asleep when your coach called you? If you were scheduled to travel as you say, but which I doubt, we are at the mercy of the Little League you were supposed to allegedly be traveling to. Or was it my responsibility to drive to Manchester, Brick or wherever(?) at 6:30 am to satisfy you?? If so, I'm so sorry, next time I will know... And please, spare me the "If I can't take criticism, I should step down"...because I'm NOT. I'm here to stay for all the right reasons. And right nowm pissing you off is one of those RIGHT reasons. If you don't like being confused about what to do early Sat morning after an all day of friday rain, I'll send a car to pick you up and hand you a rake. If you can get your butt out of bed..:). Otherwise, stay off the public forums...call me at 732-619-8630,stop being anonymous, man up and I'll give you some more 'advice". enjoy the rest of the season.

| The 9am Junior games that Holbrook teams were playing on Saturday were at Holbrook and Justice complex. So there was no travelling. Just for the record, the volunteer board members give hundreds, yes hundreds of hours of their time during the entire year, January-December, to make sure all 700+ kids have a place to play baseball and softball. if you have never been part of a youth organization, then you really have no idea what goes into it and what is required of the board members, who give up much of their own free time to give the kids a place to play. Imagine what would happen if the 21 board members stepped down? There would be no Holbrook, it cant run on its own. Anytime you are willing to "volunteer" more than your 8 hours a year (4 in the spring 4 in the fall to help run the concession stand), it would be greatly appreciated and accepted.
