| We started the All Star & Tournament Season on June 15th with 5 Baseball District 18 Teams, 3 Softball District 18 Teams, and 6 Baseball Local Tournament Teams.
Today, 6 weeks later, we have 1 Team left playing....our 10yr old D18 & Section 3 Champions who begin the NJ State Championships on Thursday!!
The harsh reality of this part of the season is that there is only 1 team who wins the last game they play. And while the ultimate goal is to have that 1 team in every division, the fact that our boys and girls got to play competitively for another few weeks into the summer, brought them experience, added practice time to improve their skills, and fun more than compensates for any championships that were not won.
In Baseball, our 10's Won D18 & Section 3.
Our 11's were D18 Runnersup.
Our 12's, & Juniors Finished in Final Four.
In Softball, our 10's won D18 and went to Sections.
Our 12's Won D18 and came within one pitch of beating Robbinsville and advancing to the States.
In Tournament play, our 9 Red Team WON the Barnegat Tournament.
Our 8's were in Final Four in Toms River Tourney.
Our Major MIT team lost in quarterfinals at Manchester.
All in all a successful post season compared to most Leagues. Holbrook is very proud of all of our Baseball & Softball players.
And we extend thanks to our Board Members & wives for their work on the fields, in the press boxes, with uniforms and in the stand, our coaches for their dedication and commitment these past 6 weeks, and to our parents for their patience, and putting their summers on hold.
And to all our fans who traveled to other sites, wearing Holbrook RED in support of our teams!!
Lets all now support our LAST TEAM STANDING, as our 10's start the NJ STATE TOURNAMENT!!!
