| Runners on first and second no outs . Batter hits a high pop up to short . Shortstop is under ball and infield fly has been called . Left fielder who was playing shallow comes and makes catch (why I do not know) offensive team wanted call changed . I kept call as originally called. Please let me know what you think !

| Not sure why it would matter for the call to be changed if the ball was caught anyway. The batter is out regardless of if you change the call.
The IFF rule simply requires the ball to be catchable with normal effort by an infielder, it does not require it to either be caught or caught by an infielder.

| Once infield fly is ruled, it doesn't matter who catches the ball it's an out! When the umpire believes that the ball is within range of a routine effort, and declares the out. It's over.
