| We are SO EXCITED for choreography!!! This is our first year ever at Gifford to have a full squad of tumblers! There is so much talent I can't wait to see what Cory has in store for us! Here are some things you need to know for Gifford Choreography 2016. Please make sure BOTH parents and cheerleaders have read and understand all information completely.
We are planning choreography for Aug 2-3 with a prep/ evaluation day Aug 1. These days are always subject to change in case of emergency so make SURE you save the other dates just in case.
All Cheerleaders must be on time and fully dressed (including bow) to participate.
Cheerleaders can not leave early.
Cheerleaders are to bring drinks, snacks and a lunch and dinner Aug 2-3.
No Debbie Downers!
Cheerleaders are expected to arrive looking their best. Hair must be secure for the entire day. Use lots of hairspray and rubber bands. Clothes should be clean and wrinkle free. Shoes should be clean. No nail polish. White no show socks only. No jewelry, no watches.
No parents are permitted inside the gym during Choreo under any circumstances. We will need one parent to bring lunch for Cory. This will be the only parent permitted inside.
***There will be no complaining, pouting or negative comments regarding placements of cheerleaders from athletes OR PARENTS. Cory places cheerleaders in spots based on many factors including but not limited to: technique, consistency, proximity of athlete prior to and after skill, sharpness of motions, height, confidence, attendance history, injury history, performance skills (facials), work ethic, etc. Grade level is NOT considered. Please do not comment or complain about spots. Do not come talk to Coach Tina regarding placement. Just because you or your cheerleader has a specific skill does not mean it will be needed in the routine. There are no hidden spots when it comes to the judges view from the judges stand. Please be appreciative and happy no matter what. Pouting cheerleaders will be sent home.
Choreography hours are subject to change. Some years we go way over time and some years we end early. This is just a rough idea of what Cory thinks he needs.
Monday Aug 1 1:30-5pm Stripe GMS tank, shorts, and sports bra. White and orange bow. No show white socks. New cheer shoes. Comp style slick full ponytail. No flyways.
Tuesday Aug 2 11:00-8:00pm Gifford crystal tank outfit. White and orange bow. No show white socks. New cheer shoes. Comp style slick high full ponytail. No flyways.
Wednesday Aug 3 8:00-4:00 Gifford teal orange and white tank and skirt outfit. No show white socks. New cheer shoes. Comp style slick high full ponytail. No flyways.
Remember that your team's choreography experience will be just what you make it. Be positive! Be ready to work hard through pain, illness, exhaustion! Be excited! Make it AMAZING!!!
Good Luck!
