| The Lisle Astros will not be hosting our annual Victoria Day weekend tournament this year. We were not successful in getting approval from Adjala-Tosorontio Council to have a beer garden and fundraiser at the Township owned park.
Council cited risk of liquor liability, cannabis use, and two resident concerns - all excuses.
Needless to say we are very disappointed in the decision which has resulted in the cancellation of the 50 plus year tournament, only the third time it has not been held.
We appreciate the support of the league teams and hope to host the tournament in 2020.

| This might be the biggest pile of horseshit that I have ever heard. This tournament has been running for half a century and a few people get a stick in their ass? This sounds more personal than anything. I've been around this tournament for 30+ years and I dont recall anything major ever happening. This is a sad day for the Lisle Astros and the NDBL as a whole. We must rally together to right this wrong.

| Can't believe this could happen. I think approaching the member of provincial parliament might be an idea. That tournament is a heritage event. Not sure what year Lisle took it over from Everett, but that Sr. Baseball tournament has been part of the township for a long, long, time. It might be an idea to find out the originating date in the township and then approach a higher level of government. It 'd be nice to know the 2 that had concerns, can you say citiots.

If Scott and Lisle were willing... is there any other venue that could step up with Lisle running the event in order to provide them with their fundraiser...it'd be a shame for this not to go forward notwithstanding given its place in the league's history but also a great early season tune up...snow or not

| So we cant play baseball because we cant sell booze now? I know its a big part of Lisles fundraising pot but simply why can we not just have a good time playing baseball?
