| Welcome to the Saratoga Softball League Draft Tournament – Registration is now open!
May 6-7, 2023, at Navy MWR Recreation Park
8 teams- 88 players, 11 players per team (24 women + 64 men), $95 entry fee per player. Captains (aka Draft Coordinators) will be assigned by the league TBD. Draft spots are first come, first serve. Once all spots are filled, we will start a waiting list.
Tournament Format- 4 Game Guarantee: 3 Pool Play games on Saturday and then a seeded single elimination Championship bracket on Sunday. Detailed tournament rules are being fine-tuned and will be posted once finalized.
Draft Format- All pitchers/team captains will meet with us and draw 1 by 1 for [male/female] Infielders, Outfielders and Catcher split up and drafted as fairly as possible across entire draft pool in a draft format. Draft date & draft format TBD once registration closes.
We will need to act quickly so our unique custom jerseys can be ordered in time for the tournament (see mock-ups sneak peek below). Once the tournament is completely full, we will schedule a day for all 8 captains to meet. We will also determine amongst the captains on how we will draw jersey design for each team. Please be patient as we navigate through our first draft tournament. Thanks!

All games will be played at Navy fields (unless we have enough players for more teams OR we get behind and must use PBA for lights).

We have booked the Wandering Food Dude for the weekend – Yum! and we will have raffle(s) for additional jerseys, etc.
There will be no alcohol in the softball field areas, front and back, but it will be allowed in the pavilion area between both fields. That will be the designated area for tents, coolers, etc. There is no smoking at the Navy fields!
All pitchers must bring and wear a mask.
Entry Fee covers custom full dye jersey, field fees, umpires, softballs, prize pool TBD and remaining proceeds will go toward PBA light maintenance and PBA drainage project.
Payment is due in full before March 1st. Send $95 Venmo to @glenmitchell68. If you cannot pay electronically, please contact Glen to make payment arrangements to secure your spot.
Along with payment, please email saratogasoftballleague@gmail.com with the below information and be sure to include exactly the following:
1) Player first and last name - male/female
2) Player name/nickname for back of jersey
3) Player jersey size (be specific, use Size Charts below for both Men’s & Women’s fits)
4) Player softball position - Primary & Secondary (use Pitcher, Catcher, Infield, Outfield, or Utility)
Refund Policy: If you are unable to attend the draft tournament and must back out of your registration before March 1st, you will receive a full refund. If you drop between March 1st-April 1st, you will receive a refund of $55. If you drop after April 1st, no refund will be given. We will then default to the waiting list.
