Tigers push over winning run after big Shark comeback
After seeing the Sharks knock in 4 to tie the game in the top of the 9th, Vic Acosta led off the bottom of the frame with a scorched double to left. A perfect bunt put down by Allen Wilson moved him to third before Rudy Beltran's chopper against a drawn-in infield scored Acosta for the winning run in a bang-bang play at the plate.
Randy Garza's stick again proved crucial for the Cats with a big 2-RBI double in the 6th and then a big 2-RBI single in the 8th. Rich Thorne, Troy Combs, Stefan Marks and Acosta also had multi-hit days. And Chris Bishop slugged two doubles to go with his win in relief.
