Huskies overwhelm Devils
The first road game of the season brought the Huskies to Maple Plain on Sunday afternoon. The two teams traded runs in the 1st inning, but a 5 run 3rd put the game out of reach. Jake Wendland blasted a 3 run homerun to right field. Hutchinson took advantage of a few miscues from Maple Plain to add on. In the 8th, walks were the story as Hutch scored 6 more times. Adam Katzenmeyer led the team with 2 hits. Wendland had 4 total RBI. Jon DeRock threw 6 solid innings, allowing just one earned run and striking out 7.
