Peaches Hold Off Brewers For Victory!
Peaches got out to a 5-run lead in the second inning and held on for a 6-5 victory over Brewers on Sunday. Brewers closed the gap by scoring on a single, an error, a ground out, a single, and an error.
Derek Thielges collected four hits in five at bats in the win. Thielges tripled in the first inning, singled in the second inning, singled in the fourth inning, and singled in the seventh inning.
Peaches got on the board in the top of the first inning after Thielges tripled down the right field line, Jeff Yaroslow doubled to center field, and Luis Felix singled to center field, each scoring one run.
Peaches added two runs in the second after Thielges singled to right field on the seventh pitch of the at-bat.
Christian Wright earned the win for Peaches. The righty allowed six hits and four runs (one earned) over six innings, striking out four and walking two.
