Admin September 1, 2014 2:13:32 PM Entry ID: 2057994 | HP picked up a couple softball players last year and I suspect they are still playing there and if so I can see how this team has faired well. Yeah a few of ya's say softball players suck but go check out Whitey if he is there on the infield and is a Josh George's in the outfield? |
Admin September 1, 2014 2:04:47 PM Entry ID: 2057993 | Old news and problems Phil. We have know for a few years this had to change it's a matter of both leagues stepping up and getting together and working this out and Phil this has been discused by your league pres and ours. Something is going to take place this winter. |

Dartmouth September 1, 2014 11:35:33 AM Entry ID: 2057988 | If this weekend proved one thing to me, it's that the two leagues need to work together and come up with something to make Provincials a really solid setup. It isn't up to BNS, they want the adult leagues to do their own thing..... I give lots of credit to the people who tried to solve all the problems over the last 2-3 weeks.... they did the best they could. But it's unfair to put people in that position when we could get these things ironed out before the reg season even starts. I hope our leagues can co-operate for everyone's sake and sort something out by Spring. |

Dartmouth September 1, 2014 11:12:25 AM Entry ID: 2057987 | Hammonds Plains is not as bad as their league record indicates. They had reg season wins against all MIBLs top teams. That being said.....the change from a normal round robin format to a double-elim allowed them to win the bracket by winning only 3 games.....one win vs Dart and 2 wins vs Hfx. They didn't have to play Spry or EP. In the final, Halifax was playing their 5th game when HP was on their 3rd. Double-elim with an odd number of teams (5) allows for some pretty strange things to happen. It works a lot better with 4 teams. HP played great and deserved to win, they took advantage of every opportunity and that's what wins tournaments. My team didn't. We blew leads, made untimely errors etc. Best of luck to both Noel and HP in the final. |
J Stevens September 1, 2014 10:52:17 AM Entry ID: 2057986 | The game at 1pm in hantsport today?? |

Fraser Retired August 29, 2014 4:29:16 PM Entry ID: 2057908 | "roll all you bitches"... ??? ... not exactly my choice of words. I decided I was done playing after last season. I committed to coaching with the Halifax Minor Baseball. I did get asked to play by a couple teams in the MIBL but I didn't really have any time. I saw Mookie (Rob Hansen) was playing again and told HP if they needed a body then I would make myself available when I could, nothing more than that. HP actually applied for AA Provincial and got slotted in the AAA disaster. I'll be at the game tonight but that's pretty much it for the weekend. From the 2 games I was at, HP has a fighting attitude. They'll make their games close. |
Sheaves PC August 29, 2014 10:54:18 AM Entry ID: 2057897 | Hey by Purdy. Fraser is bad luck, what ever team he plays for loses. He's the Sergio Garcia of baseball looks like a good player, but never actually wins a f@*king thing. |
Matt PC August 28, 2014 10:22:29 PM Entry ID: 2057882 | Fraser at least you put your name. And can I have done of those drugs your on?? Hammonds plains. Haha couldn't even win AA last might as well go AAA and steam roll us. Just like you did all year in the metro league. Must be that good now since they picked you up? How many different teams is this you played for now? |
Fraser HP August 28, 2014 8:46:36 PM Entry ID: 2057876 | Hammonds plains is going to roll all you bitches anyway so whats all the bull shit talk about |
Chaisson Pc August 28, 2014 5:29:07 PM Entry ID: 2057869 | And by the way it's Albions. Look it up it's under we won provs 3 out of 4 years category |
Chaisson PC August 28, 2014 5:17:57 PM Entry ID: 2057868 | I didn't even know spryfield or Dartmouth had teams this year.. So shhhhhh yidiot |
Matt PC August 28, 2014 4:31:51 PM Entry ID: 2057865 | Once again you no names. Pussy!! That's right we have a different team come provincials. That's becuase everyone has shit to do all summer but make sure there for provincials which means the most to us. Far as I'm concerned EP is they only good team out of metro. You guys are lucky we didn't draft divisions or it would be an all nsibl final. With Probaly EP making the semis. Good luck boys can't wait for our league to kick your ass in the final!!! |
F the NSIBL August 28, 2014 4:03:14 PM Entry ID: 2057864 | HAHAHA FUNNY GUY, The only "real" team in the NSIBL is the Pictou Albians, and the only reason those guys win is because the bring in a bunch of players that don't play all year round and then magically apprear for the finals. scatchy as f@*k. No team in the NSIBl can compete with Dartmouth, Spryfield or even EP. |
F the MIBL August 28, 2014 3:51:31 PM Entry ID: 2057863 | I too would like to wish the NSIBL good luck. Is that why there are separate divisions this year? Is it to give the MIBL a 50-50 shot of winning this year instead of a 10% chance? |

Maccan August 27, 2014 10:03:02 PM Entry ID: 2057831 | I would like to wish all the NSIBL teams success this weekend in their Nova Scotia Championship quest. I hope that you all play up to your capabilities and bring both banners back to the NSIBL. |
Jeffery55 Yarmouth August 25, 2014 9:34:36 PM Entry ID: 2057712 | I'd like to thank the player from Noel rd. that wrote and stated the facts of what happened in Sunday's championship game. The original article written in the Hants Journal was false and blown out of context!!! On a serious note I'd like to tip my hat to the Noël Rd Blue Jays for games well played and the never die attitude...Congratulations on your championship win! |
Another Player's English Teacher In the school you should have attended August 25, 2014 4:37:39 PM Entry ID: 2057692 | Dumb, dumb, dumb.. There is so much wrong with whatever you are trying to say it is all just wrong. Bon Jovi lyrics???? Really.. Well done son.. |
Another Player August 25, 2014 3:10:10 PM Entry ID: 2057685 | Let me guess...... Tim Clayton? The MLB player. He doesn't know how good he really is. He gives love a bad name, good group of guys with that Stud ball. I heard at the start of the season he tried to get their name changed to the Your taking a rib shot Gateways. Hey Tim you should play with Spyfield you'd fit right in with those 2013 Provincial champs. |

rawdon August 25, 2014 2:25:47 PM Entry ID: 2057684 | I would just like to say to anyone reading the hants county journal that all of the fmstories printed today about benches clearing and someone headed out to the beer garden with a bat are completely untrue.. the noel road jays and yarmouth gateways have great respect for eachother and its was simply high emotion baseball. But none of these other silly stories are true. Yarmouth simply had a cpl guys tossed out of the game and didnt have enough players to continue. I just wanted to clear this up because a good teams name is being drug through the mud and its not right. The jays have great respect for yarmouth. |
