He loved it with a passion, he will definitely be back to play this year along with a few of his friends. If anyone in Bridgeport is looking for a league with a promising future and with individuals who cares about the kids and with individuals who give 150 percent of there time and committment, then the chargers is where its at. I want to thank every single coach as a matter of fact I want to thank every single volunteer for making the months of August through November the best time of me and my sons year last year. I will kid you not the Bridgeport Chargers are doing the damn thing. They are the best youth sports organization in Bridgeport and I have been through them all with my other kids, but by far the Bridgeport Chargers are the best sports organization in Bridgeport for kids ages 7 through 14. If you even try to compare the Raiders (popwarner) with the chargers don't even do it until you experience the Charger life, cause you will have a blast. |

My husband and I and our two boys were currently on the Norwalk Raiders for 6th grade. But due to the changes that have occurred we are looking forward to joining the 2009 Chargers. Our boys played outstanding football and we look forward to bringing Bridgeport some more talent. We were very impressed with the talent that we saw on the field last season and only hope our boys can help bring the team to the Championships this year!! Our season has ended now but I will always remember all of you. I congratulate the 6th grade team for making it to the CVL Championship Playoffs. Also every other team who had a great run. But always keep your head up. Charger pride is in all of us. I give my best wishes to every Charger player returning. Good luck to the Coaches and Team Moms. IT DEFINATLY WAS A TOUGH LEARNING SEASON FOR ME MY STAFF AND PLAYERS. AT THE END OF THE DAY WE LEARNED AND HAD A WHOLE LOT OF FUN. ALTHOUGH WE HAD SOME TOUGH LOSTS AND ONLY ONE WIN, WE CAME FULL FORCE AT THE END OF OUR SEASON. WE HAD SOME TOUGH INJURYS TO KEY PLAYERS,WE HAD VERY YOUNG FIRST TIME PLAYERS,AND WE HAD YOUNG COACHES,BUT I WOULD'NT CHANGE ONE THING OR TRADE ANY PLAYER FOR ANYTHING IN THE WORLD. I WANNA THANK MY STAFF I COULDN'T HAVE DONE IT WITHOUT THEM. TEAM MOMS OCTAVIA AND TONEISHA FOR THEIR COMMITMENT AND HARD WORK FOR THE TEAM, MY COACHING STAFF COACH POLO, COACH RU, COACH CHRIS, COACH KEL,AND COACH GAVIN. I would like to thank my staff, Coach Milton Pettway Coach Charles Marshall Coach Verdell Warren Team Mom Madeline Lopez and Team Mom Michelle Janvier they all worked very hard this year to make our season a success. A big shout out to all our 5th grade parents, you guys are the best and remember make sure we all come back next season (Thank You). To all the 5th grade players I love you guys like you were my own, just keep working hard and remember, the sky is the limit for us. To all the rest of the chargers players, coaches, team moms and others who volunteered, thank you for a wonderful season. In about another year or two we will rule this league. I will see everyone at the Banquet. Remember check the website periodically throughout the off season for updates and events. One more thing all Charger players during the off season do not just sit around doing nothing. Just stay active and get ready for next season. As I always say JUST WIN BABY!!! That doesn't mean just on the scoreboard, it means in life itself. Peace, see everyone soon. |

The Bridgeport Charger Football program has proven that we belong and compete with the "proclaimed" elite. To the 6th Grade all I have to say is, Stay focus and keep your eye on the prize!!!!! You guys are a Dynasty in the making. To my 8th Grade boys you guys make me proud to be a coach. You showed true team spirit and brotherhood. By far the most talented team i've ever coached and the most determined group also. you guys don't give up easy!!! you've shown that all throughout the season especially in the playoffs. You truly showed the meaning of, "It ain't Over Till The Fat Lady Sing" To Coach Emmus, Rock and darrell...... lets bring these trophies home 3 trophies in one shot will really mean alot. We had two teams go for the CVL Championships and 3 teams playing in a BOWL game. What a differnce a year makes. I wish the 5th grade luck on Sunday in the Orange Bowl and to my 7th grade team lets go kick some butt and bring home a 1st place trophy in the Rose Bowl. You guys played hard this past weekend and it felt oh so good to beat Mahopac in their house. Some of us have been to Mahopac 3 times and never came home with a win. We broke that dirty cycle and came home with a WIN. Dequan, Keyshawn,Isaac, Cuatzo and my T.O. GREAT GAME and to the entire team lets PLAY LIKE CHAMPIONS THIS WEEKEND AND WE WILL BE BRINGING HOME BRIDGEPORT A TROPHY. THANK YOU COACHES HART, JONES AND REYES FOR BEING THE HARD WORKING, ENTHUSIASTIC, GOTTA LOVE COACHES YOU ARE..... |
