Jonathan plays for the Binghamton Mets at the AA level in the New York Mets organisation.
Assistant: Guillaume Leduc
Guillaume pitches for the Kingsport Mets at the A level in the New York Mets organisation.

Head Coach: Maxime Hockhoussen
Maxime is the Head Coach of Les Associés de Laval in Midget AAA. His team won both the regular season and the playoffs.
Assistant: Marc-André Massé
Marc-André is 17 years old and plays Midget AAA for Les Associés de Laval.
Assistant: Samuel Ouellet
Samuel is 18 years old and plays Midget AAA for les Associés de Laval.

Matthew is the Head Coach of the Bantam AA Minor Lac St Louis Cardinals.

Andrew is a former player for the ABC and the Ste-Eustache Bisons in Junior Élite.

Frederic is the Head Coach of the Midget AA L3L Yankees. He is Assistant GM for the Lac St Louis Baseball Development Program.

Matthew was the Most Valuable Player and the Pitcher of the Year in Junior Élite this season. He plays for the LaSalle Cardinals.
Assistant: Kevin Stern
Kevin is 18 years old and plays Midget AA for the L3L Yankees.
Assistant: Denis Boucher
Denis played in the MLB for the Montreal Expos, the Toronto Blue Jays and the Cleveland Indians. He was also the Pitching Coach for the Canadian Olympic Team.

Lac St Louis 12U Wins Gold in Ottawa




The team finished the tournament undefeated with a record of 4-0. Very strong pitching from Davide DeMarco and Shane Mullen throughout the tournament. Corentin Boucher, Nicholas Zorge, Samuel Poliquin and Matthew Almengo were clutch on the sticks. Lac St Louis beats Perth in the finals by a final score of 2-0. The Lac St Louis 12U are 2008 Carlingwood Frank Ryan Champions!

Étienne Lévesque & Jonathan Jones, two players playing with our 16U(B) team during the fall, have been invited by Mizuno to a very special baseball camp at the Toronto SkyDome. Canada's best 15 and 16 years old players are invited to perfect their skills and knowledge at this very prestigious baseball camp. We want to congratulate them for the season they had and wish them a very nice trip to Toronto. Good Job Boys!

The 12U Lac St Louis Blue Jays finished first in their pool and received a bye for the semi-finals. Great pitching from Shane Mullen & Jonathan Duforest throughout the tournament. Nicholas Zorge & Matthew Chiz were clutch on the sticks. Lac St Louis lost 5-3 in the semis. Nothing to be ashamed of though. The 12U Lac St Louis Blue Jays are Les Estacades 2008 Semi-Finalists.

16U(A) Win Gold in Trois-Rivieres




The Lac St Louis Blue Jays finished the round robin in second place of their pool. In the semis, they defeated George-Vanier by a final score of 7-1. In the finals, Zachary Aaron pitched a complete game, allowing only 3 hits. Lac St Louis beat Les Estacades by a final score of 5-0. The 16U(A) Lac St Louis Blue Jays are 2008 Les Estacades Fall Classic Champions!

They surprised everyone when they eliminated Academie Baseball Lanaudière in the semi-finals. Sebastien Scalzo was once again dominant in the batter's box. Jason Tarapasky did an amazing job on the mound. Lac St Louis lost Gold to Gatineau in the finals, but have nothing to be ashamed of. The 14U Lac St Louis Blue Jays are Lac St Louis 2008 Fall Classic Finalists.

Cris Romel Ong pitched a one hitter against Edouard-Montpetit(4). In the semis, Academie Mvp didn't stand a chance against our team, the game only lasted 5 innings, Lac St Louis(B) winning by a final score of 10-0. In the finals, they lost to Edouard-Montpetit(4) 6-5, but gave them a good battle till the end. The 16U(B) Lac St Louis Blue Jays are Lac St Louis 2008 Fall Classic Finalists.

The team pulled up his sleeves after two tough loss to beat the Montreal Orioles by a final score of 4-1. Matthew Almengo stole home plate on a passed ball to tie the game in the bottom of the 5th inning. Samuel Poliquin followed with the winning RBI on a single down 3rd base line. In the semis, Lac St Louis lost 6-3 to Rive-Sud. Shane Mullen pitched a complete game. The 12U Lac St Louis Blue Jays are 2008 Lac St Louis Fall Classic Semi-Finalists.

The Lac St Louis Blue Jays beat Saguenay in the bottom of the 6th inning to clinch first place of their pool with a record of 2-1 in the round robin. Jonathan Duforest brought in the winning run with a single. In the semis, Matthew Almengo & Samuel Poliquin were clutch on the sticks. Shane Mullen kept the Latin team off the board for 3 innings. But, it still wasn't enough as our team lost 4-0. The 12U Lac St Louis Blue Jays are 2008 Montreal Classic Semi-Finalists.

They finished the round robin in first place of their pool with a perfect record of 2-0. There was tension in the air for the semi-final game as the Lac St Louis Blue Jays had a rematch against Edouard-Montpetit who just beat them last week-end in the championship game of the LSL Fall Classic. This time, the Blue Jays never looked back, beating them by a final score of 4-3. In the finals, our 16U(B) beat Les Estacades by a final score of 5-3. The 16U(B) are 2008 18U Montreal Classic Champions!

Matthew Langton 2008 Junior Élite Most Valuable Player

Matthew ended the season with a 15-0 record, his ERA at 1.22, he pitched 92 innins, picking up 89 strikeouts. Matthew Langton was named Pitcher of the Year. And as if it wasn't enough, he also won the Most Valuable Player Award. Dominant on the mound, he was also feared by the other pitchers at the plate. Matthew finished the season with a .356 batting average and also finished first in the league with 50 RBI. Matthew Langton was named 2008 LBEQ MVP.

Ray Callari has been chosen to be the Head Coach of the Bantam AA Lac St Louis Provincial team. We wish him the best of success with the team. We would also like to congratulate Richard Leibovitch who will be assisting Ray Callari on the Bantam team and welcome him as a new member of the coaching staff at the Summer Baseball Day Camp. The Lac St Louis Baseball Development Program would also like to congratulate Frederic Majeur who has been chosen to be the Head Coach of the Mosquito AA Lac St Louis Provincial team. San Francisco Giants Select Two Players From La Belle Province

On June 4 and 5, Major League Baseball was holding his 2008 Draft. Ray Callari, Area Scout for the San Francisco Giants has once again proven that he believes in the talent of our local players when the Giants, under his recommendation, selected two players from Quebec. The San Francisco Giants drafted right-handed pitcher François Lafrenière from St-Bruno in the 34th round. And it wasn't over as the team from the West Coast also selected short-stop Leonardo Ochoa from Longueuil in the 48th round. Ray Callari also had a lot to say in the selection of Canadien short-stop Carter Bell in the 22nd round of the draft. Thanks to Ray, these three players can now dream of one day making it in the MLB.

They ended the round robin with 1 win, 1 loss and 1 tie. They came back strong against a young George-Vanier team in the semis, outscoring them by a final score of 12-2. In the final, Will Sebastien pitched a complete game against Édouard-Montpetit, to give our team their second title this fall season. The 16U are the 2007 Lac St Louis Fall Classic Champions!

In the last game of the round robin, the Lac St Louis Blue Jays were once again dominant on the mound. André Lagarde pitched six scoreless innings before handing the ball to Daniel Lepage for the last inning. Andre and Daniel, out latest acquisitions, combined for fourteen strikeouts in recording a No-No against George-Vanier. Congratulations to both guys, for a great performance.

The Lac St Louis Blue Jays ended the preliminary round with a perfect record of 3-0, giving them first place in their pool. In the semi-final, they never looked back, beating Édouard-Montpetit by a score of 7-2. In the Championship Game, our guys were ready and the bats were on fire. Our 16U team outscored the home team from Les Estacades, by a final score of 12-4. Congratulations to the coaching staff and all the players for a superb tournament. The 16U are Les Estacades 2007 Fall Invitational Champions!

The team finished the round robin in 2nd place, with a record of 2-1. After a dramatic last inning win against Cardinal-Roy the night before, there could only be excitement having to face them again in the semis. And the 12U Lac St Louis Pirates did it again. Losing 4-2 in the last inning, the guys pulled yet another upset, winning the game 5-4. In the final, the home team had a big surprise for our guys, literally...Too bad some older guys were allowed to play in this 12U tournament. The 12U are Les Estacades 2007 Fall Invitational Finalists!

It was the last preliminary game for our team. The Pirates kept the spectators off their seats, for a good part of the game. Austin Flannigan and Trevor Lall had been able to keep their opponent off the board, until the fifth. Then, Cardinal-Roy scored 8 runs to take, what they thought would be enough of a lead to get the victory. Losing by a score of 8-1 in the bottom of the 6th, our 12U team rallied back to tie the game at 8. In the 7th, Davide DeMarco followed up his shutout inning by hitting the walk-off home run that would give our team the victory in the bottom of the 7th. The Pirates beat Cardinal-Roy 9-8 with dramatic fashion.

The Lac St-Louis Pirates did it for a second consecutive week-end. The 14U are still undefeated as they won their 4 games in Gatineau. The championship game was all about Vincent Knerr who hit two home runs way over the fence. The Pirates beat Hull 16-6 to run away with yet another title. Congratulations to the coaching staff and all the players for a job well done...again. The 14U are 2007 Gatineau Open Champions!

Friday night in Gatineau our 14U pitchers were dominant once more. Jay Flannigan, Alexandre Majeur and Vincent Ouelette pitched a no hitter against the sports-étude Nicolas-Gatineau. The Pirates won the game by a convincing score of 10-0. Congratulations to the guys for a beautiful game!

The Lac St Louis Pirates ended the round robin with a perfect record of 3-0. The mercy rule was applied in two of these three games. The Pirates were facing team Soulanges in the final and won the game by a convincing score of 11-6. Congratulations to the players and the coaching staff for a job well done. During the second game of a double header in Vermont, one player from our 16U team had the performance of a lifetime. Étienne Lévesque from the Lac St Louis Blue Jays went 5 for 5, 1 double and 4 home runs. He scored 5 runs and also finished the game with 8 RBI. To add up to this amasing performance, he was the winning pitcher in a 17-16 win for our team. Félicitations pour ta belle performance Étienne!
