New in 2016!!
Littlestown Baseball for Youth has a new requirement for all coaches, assistant coaches and any volunteer who wishes to assist with practices or serve as a bench coach. Below is a link to the detailed rule for review. The new rule requires those requesting to work with the players to submit their clearances once every three years. In Pennsylvania an individual can receive free copies of the State Police and Child Abuse clearances once every three years for volunteer purposes. Below are links to the websites to receive the State Police and Child Abuse clearances. While the new rule requires someone to submit clearances every three years the volunteer application must be completed annually. Once all required clearances and the volunteer application are submitted each volunteer will receive an email from the President of the League advising the individual that he or she may now work in a volunteer role for the season.
Should you have questions, including about the expiration of your current clearance on file, or to submit your clearances/ application please email the President at president@littlestownbaseball-softball.com.

Required Head Coach Training
We will now be requiring all head coaches to complete a training certification class provided by Babe Ruth & Cal Ripken Baseball. The training is completed online and the certification will last a lifetime. The online course has both a softball and baseball version. Therefore t-ball coaches should take the course based on where their child play following t-ball 6. Certification will only need to be completed once should a coach wish to coach both softball and baseball. Littlestown Baseball for Youth will be covering the cost of each head coach's certification. More information will be provided in the near future.
