IN CONSIDERATION OF BEING ALLOWED TO PARTICIPATE IN ANY WAY IN THE OHIO EAGLES YOUTH BASEBALL TOURNAMENTS, RELATED EVENTS AND ACTIVITIES, THE UNDERSIGNED ACKNOWLEDGES, APPRECIATES AND AGREES THAT:
1.The risk of inury and.or illness from the activities involed in the tournament is significant, inclluding the potential for permanent paralysis and death and while particular rules, equipment and personal disipline may reduce the risk, the risk of serious injury does exist:

The risk to have contact with individuals, who have been exposed to and/or have been diagnosed with one or more communicable diseases, including but not limited to COVID19 or other medical conditions, diseases, or maladies does exist, and it is impossible to eliminate the risk that I could be exposed to and/or become infected through contact with or close proximity with an individual with a communicable disease;
3. I knowingly and freely assume all such risks, both known and unknown, even if arising from the negligence of the Releasees or others, and assume all full responsibility for my participation;
4. I willingly agree to comply with the stated and customary terms and conditions for participation. If, however, I observe any unusual significant hazard during my presence or participation, I will remove myself from participation and bring such to the attention of the nearest official immediately; and
5. I, for myself and on behalf of my heirs, assigns, personal representatives and next of kin, HEREBY RELEASE AND HOLD HARMLESS THE OHIO EAGLES YOUTH BASEBALL TOURNAMENETS, their officers, officials, agents, and/or employees, other participants, sponsoring agencies, sponsors, advertisers, and if applicable, owners and lesssors of the premises used to conduct the event, (RELEASEES) WITH RESPECT TO ANY AND ALL INJURY, ILLNESS, DISABILITY, DEATH, ,or loss or damage to person or property, WHETHER ARISING FROM THE NEGLIGENCE OF THE RELEASEES OR OTHERWISE.

I, _______________________________________________________________ as coach/manager of the __________________________________________ team, do hereby represent that my team is in good health and physically capable of participating in any and all activities sponsored and associated with the Ed Waller dba Ohio Eagles Youth Baseball Tournaments. I agree to hold Ed Waller dba Ohio Eagles Youth Baseball Tournaments, its staff, volunteers and associates, harmless from any bodily injury, personal injury, circumstances beyond our control or act of God as a result of my team's participation in the above registered tournament, this includes but not limited to Covid19 or any other virus/illness. My signature verifies that the team I manage, and or coach, does indeed have medical insurance coverage for all players and coaches listed on my roster for this tournament. This release of liability and acknowledgement of insurance by me is based upon the recognition that sport activity of any kind or nature clearly involves the risk of injury, illness of any kind or nature or inherent hazards to the participant and spectators. I acknowledge that my team and I assume such risk when we participate in activities sponsored by Ed Waller dba Ohio Eagles Youth Baseball Tournament. I contend that I have a current copy of my teams certificate of liability and medical insurance and will be able to produce such copy if requested to do so by the tournament director. In the event of an injury or accident to one of my players I will obtain medical care from a licensed physician, hospital, or medical clinic, if the player's parent or legal guardian is not present and cannot be contacted in person...The team I manage, and or coach, will assume liability for any malicious act or otherwise perpetrated by myself, a team member or team fan, which causes property damage or impairment to any facilities owned, managed or leased by Ed Waller dba Ohio Eagles Youth Baseball Tournaments. This will include any damage caused at any hotel/motel where we will be staying. All fees will be paid in full. I have the permission from parents, guardians, players and coaches to assume full authority to make the above statements.

OHIO EAGLES YOUTH BASEBALL TOURNAMENT RULES 2025
1. Games: 13u -18u seven innings (8u-12u six innings, Coach-Pitch Rules 8u, are on page 99 of OHSBL I League website).
There will be 1 hour and 40 minute time LIMIT which starts at the coin flip. At 1 hour 30 minutes, whatever inning you are in will be the last. (*8u there will be 1 hour and 15 minute time LIMIT) Games are scheduled to begin every 2 hours on the hour for 9u and up,, however they may begin earlier if necessary, therefore teams must be at their field no less than 30 minutes ahead of schedule. Extra innings or to break a tie, there will be a TEXAS SHOOTOUT. Each team will start with bases loaded with the last 3 batters & one out. There will be a 3-2 count on batters until three outs are registered. In overtime, if home team goes ahead, the game will end. Two hour time limit in championship game. All divisions scheduled may begin at 8am on Saturday and Sunday. Sunday's brackets will be posted after completion of all games on Saturday evening by 9pm, unless games have been delayed or stopped due to weather related issues and then Saturday schedule will be completed on Sunday, at which time tournament schedule will be admended. Game time is forfeit time. When a game ends, the next two teams will start in ten minutes. No infield practice.
2. Home team to be determined by coin clip on Saturday only, then by seeding on Sunday. Home team is official scorekeeper.
3. The reentry rule. A starting player once removed from the game may re-enter the game one time, provided he is placed into his original spot in the batting order.
4. The DH must be declared prior to the game.
5. Once a batter squares up in the box, he must bunt, no pull back and full swing allowed.
6. A team may start a game with eight players, if the ninth player shows he must be inserted in the last batting position. A team starting a game with nine players may finish with eight provided there are no available players. A team starting the game with ten players may finish with nine provided that there are no available players. If a team loses a player, that spot in the lineup will be an automatic out.
7. Must slide or surrender rule will be in effect, runner called out and ejected if malicious contact is deemed by the umpire. Player ejections will not return for the current game played and the next game played. . NO head first slides for 9u -13u except to return to the bag.
8. There are no protests. There is a ZERO tolerance policy on any aggression towards the umpire or staff. Foul language/bad behavior from anyone will merit an ejection from the complex/park.
9. No pitching rules. Have your pitchers warm up in vacant areas prior to game time. Four warm up pitches per inning.
10. Run Rule: Ten runs after four innings. Eight runs after five innings will constitute complete game. A max of 7 will be allowed for the run differential count towards Sunday. 12u and under: once a team has scored 7 runs in one inning, the other team is up to bat.
11. If game is stopped due to weather, darkness or any other reason, every effort will be done to complete the game from that point prior to elimination Sunday, unless the game has gone 3 ½ (home team winning) or 4 (visitors winning), at which point game will be declared complete. If necessary, the suspended games may be recorded at that point in order to get stats for awards. All Saturday stats reported will be computed into the Sunday seedings. Every effort will be done to complete Saturday schedule before Sunday brackets can begin if time allows. Otherwise, stats will be used for awards provided a completed Saturday schedule has been played by all teams, if not, format may be adjusted. Time limit on games may be adjusted in order to complete games scheduled. No team will play four games in one day.
12. Speed-up rule for catcher will be in effect. Full helmet must be used, no skull caps.
13. One balk warning per team in 11 and under only. Any pitcher that hits 3 batters in one inning will be removed 13u and up
14. Metal spikes only in 13u and up divisions. 13u and under may bat their roster with fee substitutions. Roster limit is 13.
15. Each team will supply their own balls, new and as many backup’s as needed. No team is to begin play without all paperwork submitted.
16. The roster teams submit prior to the first game will be the official roster for the entire tournament. If you are assigned a position in the bracket but fail to show, it is a forfeit for the other team (7-0) and your team will be disqualified from the tournament. .All COACHES must check in with the field coordinator when arriving prior to 1st game and report the game scores after each game has ended. If you fail to do so, a score of 0 will be declared. Field Coordinators will be stationed at pavilions or behind home plate fence. TEXT SCORES with age, team-score, team-score to the number provided in the schedule
17. Bat restrictions: allowable: 8u, 9u, 10u, 11u, 12u, 13u } must be smooth and round: 14u } -3. -5 15u , 16u, 17u, 18u } -3, and/or BBCOR
18. Official Baseball Rules (Default) There are lead offs, and stealing at all levels (except 8u., which is coach pitch.)
19. 8u Rules: Batter gets 5 pitches, hit or out. Foul on the 5th pitch is a strike out. The chalk line between bases is the half way mark which if you are running you must commit to the next base if past it or return to previous base if not reached, when the ball is controlled within the circle. Coach pitch only. 5 runs per inning allowed max until the 6th inning or last inning on time, which teams may score unlimited. No infield fly, No stealing, No lead offs, No drop 3rd strike, No balks
20. The Tournament Director reserves the right to alter the playing format, schedules, fields, times or any other event that may arise. If you drop out within 60 days of a tournament date or are disqualified there will be no refund. Awards will be presented to Champions per division, and runner up team., if division has 5 or more teams entered.

Some complexes that have park rules that state No alcohol, No coolers, No grills, these fields have concessions and would appreciate you patronizing them. Parking may or may not be charged at some sites per the field owner.
Once a team has registered you are confirmed as having a secured place in the tournament, and therefore there are no refunds if you decide not to participate.. In case of a rainout a $50 administrative fee will be retained before rain out refunds are calculated. We are not responsible for loss of guaranteed games due to weather, forfeits, withdrawals or other similar items. If there is a rain delay or hazzard weather alert that prevents you from completing your schedule or you are rained out, the rain out policy will apply, refunds will be mailed within 30 days after the end of the tournament. *see the rain out policy below. $50 charged on all non sufficient fund checks.
