2013
The Longhorns saw a number of new faces in 2013 including Nick Boeser, Jimmy O'Brien, Blake O'Brien, Matt Pomerantz, and a full time Adam Shafer. Shafer finished the season with 4 homeruns and 16 RBIs in just 13 games. The pitching staff was led by Bill Boeser and Erik Dessau who combined to go 12-4 with 119 strikeouts in 99 innings of work.
The team played in just one league this season, the highly competitive Jay Davis National Division. The Longhorns ended the season with the #2 seed and a 17-4 regular season record. A playoff push would see the Longhorns knock off the Bulldogs and Spartans to make it to the championship game to face Budweiser. The Longhorns dropped both games of the opening double header to fall just short of a fifth consecutive championship.
The Longhors finished with a 20-8 overall record.
Several members of the original Longhorns team competed with the 35+ team winning both the Open American Division as well as the 35+ division. Those players are Jason Landmeier, Kyle Henage, Billy Price, Dan Kessler, Brian Karpinski, and Mykle Jacobs.
Kyle Henage, Mykle Jacobs, Barry Grant, Pat Judge, and Jason Landmeier joined several players from St. Louis in winning another ring in the World Series in Phoenix, AZ. This is Jacobs, Judge, and Grant's 3rd ring and Henage and Landmeier's second.
The Longhorns took their first venture into the 18 division not knowing exactly what to expect. The team that played in the 18s was clearly deeper than that of the 25 with the addition of two new young players in Carlos Ruiz and Patrick Clysdale as well as MSBL veterans Jesse Jones and Matt Tapley.
The season started rough with the team losing it's first 3 games. The Longhorns would then win 21 out of 23 games to take home the regular season and playoff championships. The team relied heavily on a rotation of Erik Dessau, Patrick Clysdale, and Bill Boeser. The trio combined for 12 wins and 1 loss. The other three new Longhorns, Ruiz, Jones, and Tapley combined for 5 homeruns, 52 RBI and 27 stolen bases.
After a CG shutout of the Spartans by Bill Boeser in the semis, Erik Dessau followed it up with a CG shutout of the Tigers in Game 1 of the Championship series. After a miserable 21-1 loss at the hands of the Tigers, Boeser got the ball once again. The Longhorns went down 3-0 after an inning and a half. Boeser would lead off the bottom of the 2nd with a single. he would advance to second on an obstruction call on the first baseman. Catcher Mykle Jacobs would single Boeser home to cut the lead to 3-1.
An error in the bottom of the 2nd would allow Corn Robinson to reach base. Leadoff man Corey Henderson would single and Tapley would reach via a fielders choice. Carlos Ruiz would single home 2 runs and Kyle Henage would single home another to take a 4-3 lead. In the fourth, Jacobs would single for the second time and Brian Karpinski would follow up with a run scoring triple and would then score on a Jeff Fuller sac fly. Henderson would lead off the 5th with his second base hit and would get moved over by a sac bunt by Matt Tapley. Ruiz would drive in his 3rd run of the game and 9th in the playoffs in the next at bat. Henage would reach on a fielders choice, erasing Ruiz at second. Back to back doubles by Boeser and Jason Landmeier would cap the scoring at 9.
The Tigers would threaten in the 7th scoring a run on a single and an RBI triple by Blake O'Brien. Tigers 5 hitter Brett Lauck would line out to SS to end the game.

Longhorns pitchers have combined for 11 games with 10 or more K's by a single pitcher. The staff combined for 7.2 K's per 7 innings against 2.5 walks for a total of 332 K's vs. 114 walks.

The Longhorns won a Championship for the 3rd straight season in their third different league when they swept the Spartans in the best of three.
The Longhorns lost starters Billy Price to surgery and Erik Dessau to a hernia prior to the playoffs starting. Starter Bill Boeser was able to tally 3 of the teams 6 wins throwing 3 complete games and giving up 1 run on a bases loaded HBP.
Game 1 against the Spartans was a pitchers dual. The Longhorns jumped out to a one run lead in the top of the first off of Spartans starter and former Blue Jays farmhand Zach Outman. Bill Boeser doubled to right field and Ben Clemens drove him in with a single. It would stay that way until the 5th inning when the Spartans loaded the bases and would score on a HBP. The game would stay tied up at 1 run apiece until the top of the 9th. Brian Karpinski would coax the first walk by Outman and Matt Tapley would follow it up with a 2 run homerun. Boeser would finish the game going 9 innings giving up 3 hits, walking 2 snd striking out 9.
Game 2 would be less climatic at the Longhorns hung 6 runs on starter Matt Boyer en route to a 7-0 win on the shutout by Kris Weber.

Longhorns win 2010 MSBL Championship
The one consistent aspect of the Longhorns season was the contribution from up and down the lineup. The same rang true in the championship game. The 8-9-10 hitters in the Horns lineup scored 8 of the teams 9 runs. Billy Price started the game and went 4 innings earning the win. Bill Hansel was right where he was supposed to be in closing out the Longhorns first championship title. Check out the video section to see "BP" carving up the Tribe.

Longhorns win #100
The Longhorns put together one of their better games in 2010 and was able to knock off the Waterloo Millers and their ace, Corey Blackwell (5-1). After issuing a lead off walk, Longhorns starter Bill Boeser moved the runner to third with an errant pickoff throw. Waterloo would go up 1-0 on a ground out to first. The 5 hitter for Waterloo would lead off the 2nd with a double and would move to third on another attempted pick off sailing into the outfield. Another ground out and another run for the Millers made the game 2-0. The bottom of the second inning would see Matt Howes rip a sure double off the fence in centerfield only to eat dirt on his way to second. The sniper beyond the rightfield fence held Howes to a single. It wouldn't matter however as Kyle Henage would drive a 2 run homerun over the centerfield fence tying the game at 2. A walk to Brian Karpinski, a misplay at second base would put men at first and second for Myke Jacobs. MJ would drop in a single and score Karp for the Longhorns to take the lead. Corey Henderson would follow with a run scoring single, Fuller would walk and Jett would add another run with a single. Boeser would work in and out of trouble working in his knuckleball to keep the Millers off balance. Boeser notched the CG win despite 7 walks and just 2 K's.
