CMAC CHAMPIONSHIPS - GANS CREEK - COLUMBIA - 10/20/24

Thanks so much for participating in our first meet at Gans Creek.  It was a nice vibe, and it seemed most people really enjoyed themselves.  The temperatures were rather warm for this time of year.  Thank you very much to anyone that helped out.  Going forward, we'll likely request help from teams to host as it becomes a bit for one club of people to host.  So, please get ready. 

Also, thanks to anyone that went to Shakespeares as some of those funds come back to CMAC to do good things for our young athletes.

Me, myself was unable to really check out the action, but looking at the results, I can tell that spirits and energies were high!  I'm happy that we had the St. Louis Blazers come join us as it boosted the competiton and brought out some better performances from the CMAC athletes.  It should prepare those of you going to the regional meet.  It helps to be a little uncomfortable sometimes.

I'll send out the regionals & beyond sign up this week.  There are a couple more things to work out with the tee shirt place and more.  But, for the time being, be prepared to show up at Grain Valley in enough time to register, check out your CMAC All Star singlet, and then go on the course walk.  Make sure to have solid black shorts.  THIS IS ONLY FOR THE KIDS THAT ARE REALLY LOVING THE SPORT.  This isn't for those that you have to make practice, eat right, drink right, live right, etc.

The plan is to be in Lexington for a team pic, course walk, hopefully dinner and team fun activity on Friday, then of course run on Saturday

 

As I know plenty of the teams are shutting down now, I always make Blue Thunder practices available to those wanting to continue.  It doesn't matter if you plan to go to regionals and beyond or not.  They practice Tu/Th (for now 545pm, but will go earlier as daylight is running out), as well as Saturdays 10-11am.  If you send to BlueThunderTrackClub@gmail.com that you are interested, then you can be added to the info list about where practices are and such.  The first you'd want to attend would be this Thursday if interested.

 

Finally, this is a reminder that there are more CMAC All Squad / All Star practices on Saturdays.  Those dates are:

Sat, 10/26 @ Gans (this weekend)

Sat, 11/2 @ Stephens (at the top of the hill off Broadway)

Sat, 11/16 @ Stephens (lower east side off Broadway)
