Final Regular Season Meet Results for 2024 (May 3, 2024)

Many new Personal Records at JFK-Iselin.  We also had a remarkable eight (8) Iron Man Athletes, with three (3) Double Iron Man runners (runniing four events) in that mix.  We now get ourselves ready for the Relay Championships on Saturday May 11th at St. Joseph HS in Metuchen.  Please be careful where you park at the HS each of the next two Saturdays.  Please stay on pavement, no grass parking.  For the Relays Championships, it is very important that the coaching staff be aware of any athletes that cannot attend the meet.  That greatly impacts our relay squads if someone abruptly does not show up to the meet.  Thanks for understanding.   Please also remember that Saturday, May 18th will be the CJCTC League Invidivudal Championships also at St. Joseph HS.

We will keep tallying our compiled results for the regular season in this Google Sheet (link is below).  Finally, we had a full event regular meet on Friday, April 26, 2024. The only thing we did not do is run the 400m races in lanes.  There were Personal Records (PRs) everywhere in many events for our runners.

Here is a compiled view of results through April 19, 2024.  We will keep building on this sheet so that evryone can easily track their progress for the season.  Unfortunately we did not contest the 800  or the 1600 at the April 19th Meet.

REGULAR SEASON MEET DATES:  We have two more remaining regular season meets on Friday April 26th at St. Jospeh's HS and Friday, May 3rd at St. Joseph's HS.  Regular 6pm Start.  Get there a little earlier to secure parking.

OUR CHAMPIONSHIP MEET DATES:  Saturday, May 11th - Relays  8:30am at St. Joseph's HS.  Saturday, May 18th - Individuals 8:30am at St. Joseph's HS.

• We also had returning race runners, after a break from the team for a year or more
• Still need to review for Personal Records, but maybe some runners might know their own records, so times are here to review.
• 2 Athletes earned an IronMan classification running three (3) events or more.  If we contested the 800, we would have had a bunch more.

Spring Showers Bring Flowers !

That said, a big part of Spring Track is running in poor weather. We will absolutely not have practice/meet during Thunder Showers and very bad weather and/or flooding situations. However, if it is drizzling (Coach views steady rain as drizzle) you can expect to have practice(s) and our meet(s) will most likely not be cancelled.

Parents should use their best judgement, in the event that they feel the child should not be at practice. The coaches understand and respect those decisions.

The Wildcat Track Team - St. James Elementary School in Woodbridge - participates in the CJCTC Track League. Athlete participation is open to all St. James School students in good academic standing that are interested in the sport of track & field.

This team has a long history of success in the CJCTC League.

This League consists of Catholic School Teams from the Greater Middlesex County Area, including Union County.  Grades K~8.

Here is our team's Season Time Tracking Workbook for the 2021 Season.  There are some very impressive times for our squad.  Considering the obvious nature of our season, we built a pretty good record that we can all be proud of for sure.  We will meet before we break for summer, giving everyone their PR Cards, talk about the season and say farewell to the 8th graders, many of which have been on this team for 9 years, some 10 years (since pre-K).  We have an excellent foundation to build on for next year, hopefully a safe and healthy one for us, our other league member schools and the entire nation and world.  It is fitting that we wrap our season on Global Running Day 2021.
