The Athletic Xpress (Greyhounds) is a non-profit organization that was established in 2011. The organization strives to promote educational and community outreach, mentorship and diversity through athletics and social interaction. Through this effort, the AXG hopes to instill and reflect pride, teamwork, sportsmanship, quality work ethic, discipline and awareness while stressing academic and athletic achievement and leadership, among its participants and members of the community they interact with. Through the foundation of these guiding principles, the AXG hopes to achieve these goals by placing a strong emphasis on academic achievement, positive sportsmanship, character development and physical fitness. Our student athletes range in age from 5 to 18. We are committed to the overall success and achievements of youths from culturally and economically diverse backgrounds. Currently, the AXG organization offers programs in cross country and indoor/outdoor track and field. Our practice sites are located at Woodside High School, Tabb High School, Denbigh High School, Todd Stadium and Riverview Farm Park in Newport News VA.

Ongoing registration for Indoor/Outdoor Track and Field 2022-23 season is underway. If interested send name and contact information to athleticxpress@yahoo.com.
