TRYOUTS FOR THE BERKELEY OVER 60 SENIOR SUMMER SLOW PITCH  PREMIER LEAGUE.  REGISTRATION LINK IS AVAILABLE ON THIS WELCOME PAGE UNDER THE HEADING  REGISTER ONLINE.  THE LEAGUE PLAYS ON TUESDAY AND THURSDAY MORNINGS FROM APRIL TO AUGUST.   

GAMES ARE PLAYED ON TUESDAY AND THURSDAY MORNINGS; GAME START TIME IS 10:00 AM

REGISTRATION IS FOR NEW PLAYERS AND EXISTING PLAYERS WHO WANT TO CHANGE TEAMS

New players must be at least 60 in the 2025 calendar year.   New Players:  Legal bats:   If you are 60 to 69, your bat must be ASA or USA-certified.  Players 70 and over can use an ASA, USA, or a SENIOR BAT. 

ALL REGISTERED PLAYERS MUST ATTEND THE TRYOUT TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THE DRAFT.   THE TRYOUT IS SCHEDULED FOR APRIL 15,  2025, 10:00 AM  AT WHISPERING PINE PARK FIELDS, LOCATED AT THE  CORNER OF ORLANDO BLVD AND SELKIRK AVE, SOUTH TOMS RIVER.  TRYOUTS START AT 10:00 AM.  THE RAIN DATE IS THURSDAY, APRIL 17, 2025, SAME VENUE AND TIME

2014 Hall of Fame Inductee:  "Fast" Eddie Basile.  Played in the BSSL for 21 years. They retired in 2014 as a player for Cash 4 College and were inducted into the SSUSA Hall of Fame in 2005.

2015 Hall of Fame Inductees: 

Rudie Lucrezi - The former Commissioner for BSSL, served in this capacity for 8 years.  Rudy has been with the league since its inception in 1993.

Charlie Dilkes:  Manager for the Holiday Service Center Team

Sam Carnevale - Sam was the manager of Quinn Hopping and Holiday South from the beginning of the League.  His teams won 205 games and lost 17.  Sam passed away in October 2015

2016 Hall of Fame Inductees:

Joe Ward:  Played for Quinn Hopping and Holiday South from 1993 to 2003.  Joe was a high-average hitter finishing his final year in 2003 hitting .618 for the season

Joe Rodgers: Pitcher for Quinn Hopping and Holiday South, his final, personal pitching record was 205 wins and only 17 losses.  Joe had two seasons without a loss.

2023 Hall of Fame Inductees

Frank Bender is the manager and player for Team Ryan. Frank is also a Hall of Fame member of the ASA and USSSA Softball Associations

Junior Bowker - Player for EPA Renegades

Pete Smith - Player for EPA Renegades
