Jacob Morrow

Coach Morrow has been a Head Coach or Assistant Coach for many youth basketball, baseball, and soccer teams on military installations (11 years) and with Beaufort County PALS basketball and soccer recreational teams (8 years). Coach Morrow was the Assistant Coach for the Bluffton Bulls travel basketball team during their 2011-2012 summer season. Coach Morrow was the Head Coach for the 11-12 Beaufort County PALS Bluffton team that won the 2014 South Carolina District State Basketball Championship. Coach Morrow was the Assistant Girls Varsity Basketball Coach at May River Hugh School in 2017-2018. Coach Morrow was the Head Coach for Boys? Basketball and Soccer at Hardeeville-Ridgeland Middle School for the 2019-2020 season. Coach Morrow was an Assistant Girls? Varsity Basketball Coach at Bluffton High School for the 2020-21 season.

Coach Morrow's love of basketball was heightened when his oldest son began playing at age 5. He began to volunteer to either be the Head Coach or Assistant Coach on his son's teams. Eventually both sons would be drawn to the sport of basketball and that strengthened Coach Morrow's desire to learn the game and become more actively involved in coaching to ensure his sons were learning the fundamentals of the game, while they enjoyed playing the sport.

He played soccer and wrestled for four years at Penn Manor High School in Millersville, PA. He has played adult intramural soccer, football, and softball on several different teams while stationed on United States Marine Corps military bases in various places in the United States and overseas during his 20 year career. He was an official for high school football, intramural flag football and a FILA wrestling official under the Okinawa Athletic Officials Association (OAOA) for six years. Coach Morrow served as the Wrestling Commissioner for two season before returning stateside to report for his next military assignment. OAOA supported the Marine Corps Community Services adult intramural leagues and local high schools for military and Japanese schools in Okinawa, Japan.

Coach Morrow retired from the United States Marine Corps in 2012 after 20 years of honorable and faithful service.

He is a native of Gia Dinh Province, South Vietnam. Coach Morrow was raised in Millersville, PA. He currently resides in Bluffton, SC with his wife, Jennifer and their two sons: Jai and Jakii.
