IABL Rules Of Conduct

These are the terms of use that every Member using the Indianapolis Adult Baseball League website and individual team sites agree to adhere to. This includes chat rooms, message boards and any other interactive areas.

Please pay careful attention to your choice of words. Communicating on the Internet is different from face-to-face communication. Only the words are seen, no one can see your facial expression or hear your tone of voice.

The words you enter in passion or indignation will be there for you and everyone else to see well after those intense feelings have passed. This is not meant to discourage spontaneity; this is a reminder of the long-term effects of what you post.

Membership in the IABL means you agree that you will not post any of the following material on bulletin boards or other forums:

· Material or communication that is intended to harass, belittle, humiliate, defame, abuse, threaten, cause distress, discomfort or embarrassment to an IABL Member, Team, League official or spectator.

· Material or communication that may be disruptive to the normal operation of the Indianapolis Adult Baseball Association.

· Material or communication that contains vulgar, obscene or indecent language or images.

· Material or communication that are bigoted or hateful, or in any way impugns someone's race, sexual orientation, religion, national origin, political beliefs, or ethnic heritage.

· Material or communication that advocates illegal activity or discusses illegal activities with the intent to commit them.

· Unauthorized copyrighted material.

· Unapproved advertising or other form of commercial solicitation.

Statements or postings that violate the above terms will be deleted upon discovery. Web masters for individual team websites will be responsible for deletion of material from their sites in a timely fashion. The phrase “Inappropriate content has been removed” will be inserted when necessary. Team managers will be responsible for all content on their website. Depending on the nature and frequency of the violation, the IABL Executive Board in accordance with our By-laws shall discipline Members for conduct detrimental to the IABL.
