well guess what it was right for 27's father to do that and i am proud of it too because greg said that 27 was down laps and he never came in the pit i watched and i am by him in the pit so that was bull shit right there and plus i would do it too because the people in the tower doing the laps are not doing them right 117 got black flagged and he came out in front of the people in the race so the dumb idots in the tower doin the laps would put in ahead of them 2 cars so that was right of 27's father to do it i would of done it too if i were him

Now get your story right. I never ever said car 27 was down laps. I told him that car 71 which was in front of him was down laps. Same ole thing when the yellow flag drops, we go back to the last completed lap. On the last completed lap car 71 was in the second spot. So that was his position in the lineup. When the race is over, it doesn't matter where 71 crosses over the line, it will show on the scoresheets that he was down laps so that will put him in last position, unless someone is down more laps than him. So the lineup was done right. There was no need of that man to do what he did on the track. His son who is the driver of car 27 understood what was going on.

wouldnt it make things alot easier and a lot less controversial to just give someone who earned there way to the 2 spot to have one of there laps back? it would make it easier on a lot of people.
what car 27's father did was right he fought for his cars/sons rights as people went to the tower to figure out placing there was some confusion and plus people do make mistakes weather it's the flagsmen/the people in the tower, the drivers or crew members but people has to remember getting screwed over isnt fun and that if you got to fight for your rights then so be it no matter who it is.

the driver did know what was happening and so did the father and others. They did the right thing because BERN is getting away with to much about scamming drivers positions.

The flagmen did not say nothing about car #27 being down laps. I am after seeing it alot when a driver is down laps and lines up in front he will end up getting his position because the flagmen and score keeper forget about the laps he is down. So the 27 team done the right thing and so did the fans. Its time to put an end to drivers being ripped off positions.

ONCE AGAIN, I will explain this, are you people really with the program or what. When I drop a yellow flag, we go back to the last completed lap of all cars for a line up. In the completed lap car 71 crossed over the line in second position, so when I do a lineup he is in second position. That don't mean he is in second place. It will show on the scoresheet that he was down laps. So even if he does finish in the second position, he will be last in the race, unless someone is down more laps than him. Now can you people grasp this or not. Thats the whole problem with this track, people are out there doing what they want to do and seeing only what they want to see, and saying things when they don't know what they are talking about. How can you call yourself a racecar driver when you don't even know how the races work. Get your facts straight. Now if you recall the races for Sunday and look at the places in the paper today, you will see that the scoring is correct. The car of 71 was in 9th place, because of these laps down.

Thanks Flagman for clarifying that, I always wondered how that worked. Now let me put my twist on this. If car 27 had to be down a lap, and fought his way all the way up to second position, and a yellow flag dropped, I wonder how he would feel, if we put him all the way to the back of the pack. That wouldn't be fair. You would have no possible way to get your laps back or advancing.

Thank You

Do you realize how disrespectful a comment that was you dissed the drivers, you dissed the track, in your first comment you disrespected the 27's father take a guess what there flagsmen if it wasn't for the drivers/crew/fans and even the track you'd be out of your little job ya got going then where would you get that money your getting paid? i'm sure bern doesnt like being disrespected by his own employee because basically thats what you did!

I would like to inform you that I am not an employee of the track but I am a volunteer. I do not get paid for anything up there, I do it because I love the racing. I did not say anything disrespectful, I just stated the facts. People just don't want to listen.

People come on this message board cursing and swearing and calling everyone the worst kind of names. The flagsman clarified the rules so that we can BETTER UNDERSTAND...but you decided to get on his back for something completely different. He could have given you the explanation on a silver platter and it still wouldn't be good enough for some people.

He's doing the best job he can!!! He didn't have to come on here and explain the situation...he could have just let you duke it out. Leave it be.

Cheers to the Flagsman!!!

Oops! Hit enter by mistake of the previous post! Just like the races, you downers are seeing what you want to see......congrats to the flagsman for speaking up! When I read that he disrespected everybody and their mother, I went back and re-read what he wrote. If you misconstruders look at it, he didn't disrespect anybody. He might of said that they didn't understand what was going on but last time I checked, that wasn't disrespectful, that was stating the facts!!!! Cheers to the flagsman for finally speaking up and for clarifying things!

Ok 27 the rule book states any team mate, driver or pit crew that goes on the track during a race, their car is disqualified. I don't know why the flagman never did that. As far as I am concerned you should of been disqualified. You shouldn't of gotten the position or points you got. Go pick yourself up a rule book and figure out how the scoring and rules work.

My hat's off to the flagman! Every Sunday this poor man takes flack from disgruntled drivers/fans. He takes crap from somebody every week. He doesn't make the lineup up out of his head, if you pay attention the lineup comes from the tower on a slip of paper and the flagmen line them up according to that. My heart goes out to this poor guy. He volunteers his time and is given a hard time in return.

Don't be so cocky. Theres one more meeting before all is said and done. How do you know there isn't a protest put in against you. You might not get 1,2 or 3 place. Yet. So bite your tongue.
