| After carefull deliberation, and countless hours of scrutinizing of the A M A rule book, i have made the following decisions. 1. in regards to points given and or earned by all riders..all points will stand as recorded!
2. as per chapter 7,secton A, paragraph 2,(points and prizes) of the A M A rule book, no one rider may have more than 30% of the total purse! because of this ruling, and in the sense of fairness to all, i am sub-dividing the purse in four categories. these are as follows; beginner,junior,intermediate,and atv.
Also at this time, i must ask all those involved to please refer to chapter six of the A M A rules, on page 47 and 48, section D, Paragraph 4,5,and 6. which is as follows;
4, - The referee(or his designee) must accept any protest that is PROPERLY MADE WITHIN THE SPECIFIED TIME LIMIT and accompanied by the appropriate fee.The referee may not accept any protest that is not properly filed and accompanied by the required fee.
5, - ALL PROTEST MUST BE FILED WITHIN 30 MINUTES OF THE POSTING OF RESULTS OF THE EVENT IN QUESTION!
6, - Final determination of the timeliness of a protest will rest with the meet referee, and such decision will be final to all concerned!
I am also compelled to ask all those involved to refer to the A M A rules on page 45,section B, GENERAL OFFENSES AND PENALTIES, Paragraph, 1 through 4. this section is self explanatory, and needs no other interpretation!
I DID NOT COME TO THESE DICISIONS LIGHTLY! BUT IN ALL FAIRNESS TO ALL PARTICIPANTS, I AM COMPELLED TO BY AMA STANDARDS AND RULES!
Good luck to all in sundays upcomming races! regards; James Chalker track co-ordinator and referee.

| tony, i,ve looked at the points given me, but i,ll check with the towers records later to verify if there is any validity in your statement, if i find what you say has any merit, i will adjust the points as needed. but i can only do so if the towers score card validates it! good luck this sunday coming. regards; jim

| Jim - it's refreshing to see someone quoting rules by section and paragraph with the intention of enforcing them. It would be nice to see some of the rules for stock cars enforced for a change too!
