| maybe at one time some of the best softball players on the island came from placentia.dont know if thats true anymore.do enough people live in placentia to have a good competative league anymore.afew years back i seen some games with teams from the placentia area they lost all their games by the mercy rule it was slow pitch.the davis brothers and there sister came out of fox harbour they were very good players.not sure but all are in the hall of fame.with outmigration now its to bad alot of the younger adults move away for school or work that hurts the softball thats being played out your way.they say fox harbour was the softball capital in its day.
