| Just wondering if anybody has heard any news lately on the track being paved. It seems to me that cyril, and dennis will not be back to race on dirt next year along with coffen and hicks. Alot of people are saying it is alot cheaper to run on pavement because of so little damage to the cars. It will be interesting to see what will happen. I still believe that dirt makes for way better racing but money talks.

| Don't think avondale being pave and it will cost 150 gas money to get out and back from Central.

| Racing is Cheaper for the track owners cause they don't have to spend any money or do any work to get the track ready for next week of racing.

| Bern said yesterday he was trying to secure funding for it but i think it will be the death of the track. if he wants a dragstrip sure give it a try . but after speaking with several drivers i cant see the paved track lasting 2 years Anyone who has an opinion one way or another post it here it may help bern make his decision one way or another

| well someone who used to race up there named adam mercer he used to drive car 45. he left and said he would only come back only if the track was paved. they would go a lot faster and it may attrack drivers or repell drivers. pavement is fast but dirt is also really good.

| pavement = way to go, yes dirt is fun and all that, but sponsors better for pavment, faster,cleaner, u can keep a whole car for a year,,if u stay out of trouble, u can say what u want, but dirt raceing is rougher, there not one car at avondale that can say they never had to put time into there car after a race day, there bumps and stuff in dirt and stuff wears, i know pavemnt u still have to work on cars, i bet you not a much, if u do pave the track, got to take out all tire wals put in cement calls, got to invest in blow dryers, and a good tow truck,got to flatten out the moto cross track and do it from scratch or take it out all together and u can fit a good pit road in that in field. for races over 100 laps, that is what i think, pavement sumtimes means better pay outs, lot of sposwers put up money for raceing.

| Every week i got to work on my car but thats the fun off it.I think that pavement will kill the track i don't want to run on pavement, if you get hit on pavement there will be more damage because there will have no give in the car atleast with dirt the car will slide a bit.Tires will be the same cause you will wear the out just ass much as blow ones. Dirt is more fun to race think and hope its stays dirt who ever buys it just got to take the dirt thats there now and take out the big rocks and not leave so much dirt in the turns thats all.HOPE IT STAYS DIRT

| A Racer is a Racer. Dirt or Pavement don't make a difference. You just got to set-up the car to turn in the corners.

| anyway possible you could have 2 tracks.it will take lots of coin to change avs to a paved track.more to it than just putting down pavement.who ever is taking it over should have some deep pockets.

| yes u will get more damage if u get in a crash on pavement, but it better, just got to make a stroung drivers door, yes it goin to take a lot ot put avs to a pavetrack, pavement will not kill the track, i can tell you that
