Can anyone tell me if the rumours are right or not ?
Is the track going to be paved....cause i am in the middle of a new 8's car and i am not going to finish it if the track is going to be paved .

I know of 4 more drivers that are coming to the track to drive in the 4's and 6's
I also know of 5 ladies tha want to race but if the track turns to pavement we are stopping now before we finish

CAN SOME ONE PLEASE HELP ME WITH THIS ????

It would be better to leave it dirt! Not only because dirt makes for better racing, but there's already been some posts where drivers said they won't race there if it's paved! I haven't seen any posts where drivers are saying they won't race there if it stays dirt! You seem to have a good thing going there, don't change it now!

like to see it stay as a dirt track.but wouldnt mind a pavement track also.could there be room for 2 tracks that would be sweet.heard a few dollar fgures thrown around that it would cost close to a couple of million bucks to get avs ready for pavement that includes more than just the making of the track.thats a remodel of everything.if someone is going to make that kind of investment in a seasonal venture they will have to have a very succseful and hard working group of employees to help run it.

heard dennis is not coming back next year going with the pavement if not at avs at tvs.rumour the weirs have the old 20 car of pat squires also getting it ready for next year.maybe jason will drive it if it stays as dirt in avondale.will need someone to drive the 59 when dennis moves to pavement.

why dont the race teams from placentia see if they could find a spot out in there neck of the woods for a track.seems to be alot of support from that area for dirt track racing.dont seem like anything in around the st johns, torbay, cbs or cbc area is going to be approved they have been shot down every time they have approached there councils.any property on the old base that could probably be used.check it out what u got to lose.

what i hate the most about pavement is that it seems to be the car with the most money invested tends to win the race. At least with dirt there seems to be more of an open playing field

I find with short-track pavement racing, the car that gets out front and stays on the bottom usually wins, unless someone moves him out of the way!

cant see any of the guys who race at avs having any problem moving them out of the way if they want to get by for the lead.

It's bad enough now, but could you just imagine all the whining and crying that would go on then?

forget about that drag racing.they say racing on pavement is expensive.just try to run a competative drag racing team.if they make a drag strip so be it as long as they dont run on sunday afternoons.put in some lights and run on friday or saturday nights.
